This addendum forms a part of the Agreement described above. The original Contract Documents and any prior addenda remain in full force and effect except as modified by the following, which shall take precedence over any contrary provisions in prior documents.

Questions and Answers:

Q:Upon review of the specifications ( reference 23 21 13, page 2 of 6, 2.3 Item “E” Expansion Loops and Elbows):

It is noted that expansion loops shall be prefabricated, etc. in accordance with computerized stress analysis.

QUESTION: Is the BOM that was provided for Chilled Water Service or Hot Water Service?

If it is for Chilled Water Service, it is not as susceptible to being an incomplete BOM as there would not be many other appurtenances needed for a complete installation, as the chilled water would be free- floated where you would not need expansion loops.

If this is intended for Hot Water Service, we would need the layout of the system, in order to provide a complete BOM that would include devices like anchors, Wall penetration end seals, external expansion bolsters used around the changes of direction to take up pipe movement, etc. and to be able to provide our stress analysis of the system.

Would you please review this and advise if we are to just bid on the BOM provided or might there be scaled layout drawings of the system available?

A:Attached is the drawing showing the pipe alignment for which we are working to procure pipe. The orange highlighted areas are the alignment (this drawing also shows some existing piping as well). To answer the vendor's specific question, this piping alignment contains both a hot water and cold water loop, expansion loops will be required on the hot water sides. Please note that there are three loops on the hot water side called out in this drawing. KUB understands that some additional material purchases will be required by the installation contractor and that the bill of material will be somewhat incomplete on this bid. Our intent is to procure the bulk of the pipe material and to allow the installation contractor to procure the additional necessary materials to complete the installation. 20171130150854.pdf
