‘GO SKI GO BOARD’ is our national participation campaign helpingcollege students get on the slopes without breaking the bank. Offering an all-inclusive price (slope and lesson costs, equipment rental and clothing) students follow a 4 stage pathway at GO SKI GO BOARD facilities progressing towards ‘GO RACE GO FREESTYLE’ entry-level opportunities. Is the offer focused in particular areas of the country?

Yes - Yorkshire (Castleford and York), North East (Sunderland), Manchester (Trafford), Lancashire (Rossendale), Cumbria (Kendal), Midlands (Tamworth, Swadlincote), Shropshire (Telford), Gloucestershire (Gloucester), Buckinghamshire (Milton Keynes), Hertfordshire (Hemel Hempstead), Devon (Plymouth), Hampshire (Southampton), Dorset (Christchurch), Berkshire (Bracknell), Somerset (Mendip), London (Hyde Park), Norfolk (Norwich), Kent (Chatham), Birmingham.

If HEI is not in geographical priority area is the same level of support available?

Yes. GO SKI GO BOARD may not be offered at their local ski or snowboard facility, although other offers and programmes will be available. The NGB development team will have links into these centres although do not work with them on a daily or consistent basis.

Is there a cost involved in delivering your offer?

For HE Offer 1, there will be an all-inclusive session cost payable to the local GO SKI GO BOARD facility by the participant, cost vary from site to site dependent on locality.For HE Offer 2 there is a small £50 charge for the snowsport club to access NGB support.

What level of support can you provide to the university if delivering your offer

Personal one-to-one support from our regional Snowsport England Development Officers.

GO SKI GO BOARD Resources for advertisement and promotion throughout university.

At selected HEIs, GO SKI GO BOARD reps will be trained to assist increasing participation.

Chance for clubs to apply for funding through our University Club Funding Scheme.

Tailored development plan to help you work alongside the Snowsport club to increase Snowsport opportunities.

Dedicated member of staff leading on HE Development who is available to answer queries.

Support with facilitating and brokering a relationship with local GO SKI GO BOARDfacilities.

Both student and staff opportunities.
