INVITATION TO PRESENT

Overall theme: Extinguishing issues that perpetuate the impacts of child sexual assault across Indigenous communities and improve access to the road to healing

Batiba Guwiyal provides a limited number of opportunities for interested individuals/organisations to present and facilitate 60 minute or 30 minute workshop sessions to conference participants.

We are looking for topics, ideas, challenges, and opportunities to deepen our understanding of how we collaborate to Tackle the impacts of Child Sexual Abuse in Indigenous communities and assist with healing.

Areas of focus include:

·  Track 1 – Legal

·  Track 2 - Innovative Practice

·  Track 3 - Education

·  Track 4 – Research

·  Track 5 – Justice

·  Track 6 – Health

·  Track 7 - Community

We invite you to propose a workshop based on one of the tracks above that go some way to exploring the theme.

Proposal Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated on content, relevance, engagement and diversity as per the following:

·  Content: The proposal should clearly and concisely explain the topic(s) that will be covered during the training/presentation.

·  Relevance: The proposal should be relevant to the conference tracks/conference theme.

·  Audience Engagement: The proposal should identify how the presenter intends to engage the audience either through a basic question and answer session or through other methods such as facilitated dialogue, interactive exercise, role playing etc.

·  Diverse Perspectives: The proposal should demonstrate how different ways of thinking and viewing issues will be considered during the presentation/training session.
