You will develop a survey about the problem, conduct the survey, analyze the data, and ultimately, report your findings to the class. The final project is due at the end of Unit 5, but each Unit will contain specific steps toward the completion of the project.

Group Formation:

Your teacher will form groups and assign each group a specific problem facing American families in today’s society. The list of problems is as follows:Abuse and family violence, Divorce, Poverty, Teen pregnancy, Addiction, Care of elderly family members (ASOC #8.1).

Everyone in your group is a Researcher and will have individualresponsibilities for each step of the project. In addition, your group must select someone to take on each of the following roles. These three roles come with additional group responsibilities:

1.Discussion Leader: Each step of the project requires group discussions. The

discussion leader’s role is to make sure his or her group is active in discussions and being productive toward the project work.

group’s survey onSurveyMonkey. The Survey manager’s role is to work with the teacher on posting the survey and collecting the results.
