INTRODUCTION AND TEAM:-
A team of AATS/Crime Branch, Delhi including Inspr Jai Bhagwan ASIs Harveer Singh, Harsh Vardhan, HCs Azad, Upender, Karambir, Sandeep, Dilbagh Singh, Kamal, Krishan, Jitender, Sanjay Tyagi, Consts Rupesh and Harender under the close supervision of ACP Om Prakash & over all supervision of Addl.DCP Bisham Singh has arrested one Mangal Singh along with his associate Manish impersonating as Sub Inspector of Delhi Police. Mangal Singh was in Delhi Police uniform and his associate was carrying files of Delhi Police Logo in his hand.
INPUT AND OPERATION:-
An input was received in Crime Branch that an impersonator is cheating innocent people in various parts of Delhi and UP and also that he is actively roaming in Delhi and Ghaziabad with the intentions to commit cheating and dupe innocent people. On this information, a police team was formed and sources deployed. This information was further developed and it came to know that this is the same impersonator, who robbed a businessman in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad on 25.7.2013.
On 01-08-2013, acting on a input, the police team laid a trap at opposite Anand Vihar Railway Station and on the instance of the informer, stopped a white colour Maruti ALTO car bearing registration number DL7CAK 8961. The driver of the car was in the uniform of Sub Inspector of Delhi Police bearing name plate of ‘Abhishek Sharma SI’. He was also having one wireless set (Motorola) in his hand whereas, his associate was having File Covers bearing Delhi Police logo. When they were asked to show their identity, they tried to flee. They were overpowered and identified as Mangal and Manish. Since they could not produce any proof of their being police officer, they were apprehended and a case vide FIR No 131 /13 US 170/171/482/411 IPC PS Crime Branch Delhi was registered in this regard.
INTERROGATION/INVESTIGATION:-
Both were put to sustained interrogation, Mangal Singh disclosed that he had joined Delhi Home Guards in the year 2008. But after a few months, he was terminated from DHG service because of his misconduct. During this period he learnt about intricacies of police working. Later, he started committing crime. He used to cheat public persons by impersonating as a police officer. He is having six criminal cases against him previously.
First time, he was arrested in 2012 by the staff of PS Mukherji Nagar. Later, he was arrested in Feb 2013 by the staff of PS Jyoti Nagar, Seelampur and Harsh Vihar. He further disclosed that he had taken this wireless set from the security guard of ‘URO Mall’ in Kaushambi, Ghaziabad, UP. He purchased the uniform of Delhi Police Sub-Inspector from Kingsway Camp market. Using police uniform, he asked the security guard to hand over the ‘wireless set’ for checking and then escaped with it. He had stolen this maruti ALTO car from the area of PS Indrapuram UP. He has also disclosed that he alongwith Manish, had duped a businessman by impersonating as police officers.
During interrogation, his associate Manish has also corroborated about his involvement in this incident.
Further involvements of accused persons are being verified.

1. Mangal s/o Anand r/o Vill.- Tatiri-Hera, Teshil Baghpat, Distt.- Baghpat, PS Baghpat, UP, age 26 years. Presently residing at Kishan Dharam Kanta ke pas, Loni Road Shanti Nagar, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP. Matriculate from Loni, he was working with his father in cycle repairing shop at Tatiri, Baghpat, UP. In PS Mukherji Nagar case, he was sent to Tihar jail and came out on bail on 17.7.2013. During his jail period he came in contact with Manish, who is also an active criminal of East District. They became friends and planned to commit crime together after coming out of jail.

2. Manish s/o Rampal Singh r/o 13/B Rani Garden-Shastri Nagar Delhi, Age 25 years. He is a school drop-out after having failed in class 10th from Geeta Colony. He was working as property dealer in his neighborhood in Geeta Colony. Manish came in contact with Mangal in Tihar jail, where they became friends and planned to commit crime jointly after coming out of jail. He came out of the jail on 15.7.13.

GANG OF “JAHAR KHURANI” CRIMINALS BUSTED AND CASE OF DRUGGING OF A “PAKISTAN NATIONAL” SOLVED
North District has arrested six criminals namely 1. Asif (23 years) s/o Mohd. Sabir r/o E-322, Gali No. 10, Shastri Park, Delhi 2. Mohd. Shahid (24 years) s/o Mohd. Ajimuddin r/o 2255, Sarai Topkhana, Kauria Pul, Delhi 3. Nooruddin (51 years) s/o Mohabbat Hussain r/o B-5/259-260, Nand Nagri, Delhi 4. Muzahir @ Bhoja (24 Years) s/o Mohd. Farvi r/o B-230, Gali No. 4, Kabir Nagar, Delhi 5. Mohd. Najir (40 years) s/o Alimuddin r/o 178/5, Main road, Azad Chauk, Kardam Puri, Delhi & 6. Asaru @ Najeer (22 years) s/o Hakimuddin r/o E-322, Gali No. 10, Shastri Park, Delhi (All permanent residents of Kishanganj, Bihar) and busted a gang of “Jahar Khurani” criminals. The drugging case of a 70 year old Pakistan national has been solved. Stolen articles and auto rickshaw used in the commission of crime has been recovered. 15 tablets of Ativan (2 mg) of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (drugs used to intoxicate targets), 12 mobile phones, 4 wrist watches, 4 notes of Bhutan Government and coins of UAE Government (stolen in other incidents), one country made pistol and one button activated knife have also been recovered from their possession.
INCIDENT AND TEAM
On 01.07.13, one Pakistan national namely Muhammad Nabi s/o Bundu Khan r/o 12/133, 5 Number, New Karachi, Pakistan (70 years) landed in Delhi from Karachi, Pakistan at about 7:00 pm. He was coming to India after a gap of 40 years and was on his way to meet relatives at Muradabad, UP. He reached ISBT, Kashmere Gate from Indira Gandhi Airport at about 8:30 PM in route to ISBT, Anand Vihar to board the bus to Muradabad. At the bus stand, a person befriended him and got him seated in his auto rickshaw which was parked at Lothian road in front of Ritz Cinema. The auto rickshaw was driven by his associate. Enroute they offered him some soft drink which he drank and became unconscious. They stole his belongings which included apparels, Pakistan currency (10 notes of 100 rupees denomination), Indian currency (Rs. 18500) and dumped him at a place in Ghazipur. PCR staff brought him to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital. When, he regained consciousness, a zero FIR was registered at P.S. Ghazipur. The Zero FIR was received in P.S. Kashmere Gate on 07.07.13 and a case vide FIR No. 170/13 dated 07.07.13 u/s 328/379/34 IPC was registered and investigation was entrusted to SI Amit Kumar, I/C, Police Post ISBT, Kashmere Gate.
A team comprising of SI Amit Kumar, IC, PP, ISBT, HC Vijay Kumar No. 515/N, HC Dinesh Kumar No. 311/N, HC Raghunath No. 468/N, Ct, Sandeep No. 1849/N & Ct. Sudhir No. 1439/N was constituted under the leadership of Insp. Madhukar Rakesh, SHO/K. Gate and close supervision of Sh. Sagar Singh Kalsi, ACP/Kotwali, to work out the case.
INVESTIGATION
A person named Asaru was arrested on the basis of systematic investigation. He was arrested on 19.07.13 and a part of the stolen property was recovered from his possession. He disclosed that his “would be” brother-in-law Asif and his friends are running a “Jahar Khurani” gang. On 01.01.13, Asaru also accompanied Asif to learn the way they operate. He reached ISBT, Kashmere Gate and watched all the activities of Asif and his associates. He returned to his room from ISBT, Kashmere Gate and Asif gave part of the stolen articles to him as his share the next day. He disclosed that Asif and his friends do not stay at a fixed place and would keep moving to avoid being caught. On 28.07.2013, the team got information that Asif and his friends would come to Ritz Cinema in the same auto rickshaw. The team acted swiftly and apprehended Asif, Shahid, Nooruddin, Muzahir and Nazir with the auto rickshaw no. DL 1RK 9954.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation, it surfaced that all 6 accused are residents of Kishan Ganj, Bihar. They formed a “Jahar Khurani” gang and started to operate in groups of 3 or 4. Nooruddin is an auto driver. He hired an auto rickshaw no. DL 1RK 9954 from its owner. They were operating in the same auto rickshaw. On 01.07.13, Asif, Shahid, Nooruddin and Asaru reached ISBT, Kashmere Gate. Nooruddin was standing in front of Ritz Cinema with the auto rickshaw. Shahid was present in front of GPO, Kashmere Gate with intoxicated soft drink. Asif came inside the ISBT and brought complainant Muhammad Nabi from inside ISBT to Ritz Cinema. Asaru was watching the operation. Asif and Nooruddin managed to get him seated in their auto rickshaw offering a reduced fare of only Rs. 60/- for ISBT, Anand Vihar. They reached GPO, Kashmere Gate and offered the target, soft drink to him on pretext of his feeling thirsty. He became unconscious on taking the soft drink. They brought him to Ghazipur and dumped him on the road side. They stole the bags along with currency carried by the complainant. Muzahir and Najir are gang members. One loaded country made pistol was recovered from the possession of Najir and one buttodar knife was recovered from the possession of Muzahir. On interrogation, they disclosed that they carry arms to ease their escape if they were caught by the complainant or public in any incident. Cases vide FIR No. 194/13 and 195/13 u/s 25 Arms Act were registered in this regard in P.S. Kashmere Gate and they were arrested.
RECOVERY
1. Auto rickshaw no. DL 1RK 9954 used in the commission of crime.
2. 15 tablets of “Ativan 2 mg” of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals used for intoxicating the target.
3. 10 notes of Pakistani currency of Rs. 100 denomination apart from other belongings.
4. 12 mobile phones, 4 notes of Bhutan Government, 27 coins of UAE government which were stolen in other incidents.

2. Mohd. Shahid (24 years) s/o Mohd. Ajimuddin r/o 2255, Sarai Topkhana, Kauria Pul, Delhi. He is unmarried. He is illiterate and sells clothes on rehari in the area of Chandni Chowk.
3. Nooruddin (51 years) s/o Mohabbat Hussain r/o B-5/259-260, Nand Nagri, Delhi. He is married and has three children. He is an auto rickshaw driver. He is previously involved in a case vide FIR No. 112/13 u/s 379/34 IPC P.S. Sagarpur, Delhi.
4. Muzahir @ Bhoja (24 Years) s/o Mohd. Farvi r/o B-230, Gali No. 4, Kabir Nagar, Delhi. He is married and has three children. He is previously involved in a case vide FIR No. 3/11 u/s 392/34 IPC P.S. Geeta Colony, Delhi.
5. Mohd. Najir (40 years) s/o Alimuddin r/o 178/5, Main road, Azad Chauk, Kardam Puri, Delhi. He is married and has three children. He is previously involved in a case vide FIR No. 141/98 u/s 379/411/34 IPC P.S. Kashmere Gate, Delhi.
6. Asaru @ Najeer (22 years) s/o Hakimuddin r/o E-322, Gali No. 10, Shastri Park, Delhi. He is unmarried and he does stitching work.

A DESPERATE ROBBER CUM MURDERER ARRESTED
Police personnel of Police Station Punjabi Bagh, West District have arrested a desperate robber namely Rinku, who is wanted in several cases of different police stations. In 2008, he was convicted in a robbery case for five years and has recently released from Tihar Jail. One stolen pulsar motor-cycle & One Dessi Katta with two live cartridges were recovered from his possession. With his arrest, one murder case, one attempt to murder case, one robbery case, two chain-snatching cases and one case of MV Theft have been worked out.

Rinku s/o Gainda Lal r/o H.No. 226 HMP Block, Raghubir Nagar, Delhi, Age 27 years. He is a History Sheeter of PS Khayala, West Distt, Delhi.

He is previously involved in 19 cases (under different heads i.e. Robbery, Dacoity, snatching etc.) in different police stations.
