Introducing the Mite Poster for the 2016-2018 Mite Goal

This Mite Poster to track mite giving and payments to mission grants includes a graphic based on the theme of the Lubbock Convention, “I am the Vine you are the branches.” The thermometer on the graphic can be filled to indicate progress towards the work program goal of $362,040 by March 31, 2018. Progress can be tracked on the website at www.lwmltxdist.org on the District Mites page each month.

There is also a listing of the mission grants adopted for this biennium with a total mission grant goal of $206,800. As grant payments are made, they are updated on the website on the Mission Grants page. A column has been included to write in the amounts as they are paid and to indicate the balance still needed.

Please note that mites fund the entire work program goal of the LWML Texas District. This includes 75% to fund all aspects of the mission of the district and 25% to national mites for its work program. A separate travel fund is maintained for the Board of Directors to attend the national conventions with funding coming from a travel assessment to each zone. In addition, district conventions are funded separately from the work program.

This PDF file has been designed so that it may be printed in letter size or larger (such as poster size) without losing any quality. If a printer is unavailable for a larger size, most office supply stores, printing services and/or mail stores will print for a nominal charge. Please share this Mite Poster with the members of your society and church. One suggestion is to print it as a poster and place it on a LWML bulletin board, updating it monthly. As members are made aware of the mission grants and need, mite giving will increase. Also on the website are prayers for each of the mission grants. May God continue to richly bless our mites.
