Intrasquad Practice

8/21/17

4:30pm Intrasquad – Bring both practice jerseys. Lineups posted on the board in the dugout will tell you which one you wear.

·  Players need to see Intrasquad Setup Responsibility

·  Move your stuff to the appropriate dugout.

4:40pm W/S/T – Plan C, after all setup is complete.

·  Field prep after W/S/T.

Intrasquad game begins as soon as 1st pitcher is ready.

·  Innings will end on a 20 pitch count, complete that batter.

·  See IS teams for number of innings you pitch and the pitching order.

·  Pitchers need to be ready for their turn.

Other Pitchers

·  Daily Training – Group 2 pitchers complete Daily Training, then switch with Group 3 pitchers.

·  When not doing Daily Training you will be responsible for umpiring, running charts, running the music, and chasing foul balls. Also making sure the pitcher has a ball to pitch with on foul balls. Get these from the PreGame Ball bucket.

Catchers

·  When on Defense you will catch the pitcher on the field or warm-up a catcher in the bullpen.

·  Never chase wild pitches/pass balls with no runner on base. The in-the-hole batter will retrieve these balls.

·  If you are not catching in the game you are catching bullpen, warm-up pitcher for both teams if necessary.

·  Never leave the bullpen if you are warming up a pitcher to hit in the intrasquad game, wait until another catcher arrives. You will hit next for your team if you miss your turn at bat.

Injured or Non-Participating Players

·  Turn on scoreboard and get it ready for the game. A non-participating player will be running the score board during the intrasquad. You will also assist with umpiring and chasing foul balls.
