INTERNATIONAL WATERSKI COMPETITION

«Nikolai Genov Memorial-2017»

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce the International water ski competition “Nikolai Genov Memorial-2016”, the first international Ranking list competition in Belarus, which will be held on June 09 – 11.2017 at Luchovo lake, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk region, Republic of Belarus.

We are hereby inviting the skiers, the representatives, their friends and spectators to join us in or simply to watch the athletes competing on the water.

Official and Technical Info

Divisions: Under 14; Under 17; Open; 35+ (slalom and jump speeds and ramp heights are as per E&A Additional Rules).

Each event will consist of two rounds: preliminary round and final round.

The competitions will be held in accordance with the 2017 International IWWF Rules and the E&A Additional Rules.

Starting speeds and rope shortening length in slalom, ramp height and maximum speed for each age division are given in the Additional E&A Rules 2017.

Homologation level: Ranking list

Entry fees:

single event – 30 USD;

two events – 40 USD;

three events – 50 USD;

All payments must be made in Belarusian rubles (BYR) at the exchange rate on the date of payment.

Awards

The winners in each event and Overall will be awarded with special prizes.

The first three places in each event and Overall will obtain medals.

The schedule may be changed by the Chief Judge and Organizers because of weather conditions or other reasons.

Participation requirements:

Entry forms are to be sent before 15thof May, 2017 by fax or e-mail.

Each athlete is to be in the possession of certificate of sport-accident insurance valid in Belarus and must present it to the Chief Judge and Chief Calculator during registration.

The trick list will be required.

Financing:

-  Travel, meals, accommodation of the athletes will be covered by their sending organization or by the athletes themselves.

-  Travel costs of Officials are at the expense of sending organization or Officials’ own costs.

-  Accommodation, food and transportation from the hotel to the competition site for the Officials during the competitions will be provided by the Organizers in accordance with E&A bye- laws.

Currency

The local currency is Belarusian Ruble (BYR).You will find an EXCHANGE OFFICE in the Novpolotsk City and in the Hotel. At almost all local vendors you will be able to pay for your purchase using one of the major credit cards.

At the site you will be able to pay for training, beverage and snacks only in cash and ONLY in BYR.

Practice:

Practice is available at Luhovo lake from June 6th to June 8th 2017 upon preliminary booking at 90 USD per hour in equivalent to Belаrusian Rubles (BYR) at the date of training.

Minimum time of a practice set is 15 minutes.

Ski sets are to be booked together with application form before the 15th of May, 2017.

Please email directly to the organizers at your requested time and whether practice is for Slalom, Tricks or Jump (include required jump height). Bookings will be on first come first serve basis.

Snack Bar

Food, soft drinks and coffee will be available at reasonable cost on site during the competitions.


LIABILITY

The Organizers will not be liable for any loss or damage to equipment or personal property, and injuries to athletes, officials, judges, official volunteers, and other persons attending official or unofficial programs during the event. All foreign officials are required to have a personal accident insurance. Athletes are required to show a proof of personal accident insurance during the official registration and prior the beginning of the competition. The insurance policy must provide coverage in Belarus.

The organizer will not be responsible for any injury obtained at any time, by any athlete or official from his participation in these events.
