Introduction
This is a three-year strategic plan for IOED for the period 2016–2019. It serves as a road map for programming and operationalizing activities of the organization over the coming three years.Specifically, this strategic plan of IOED has been formulated by taking into consideration the UN objectives, MDG, SDG, India Vision 2025, National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty, to mention but a few.
The purpose of this Plan is to establish the overall strategic direction to guide the members of the Core Group staff and Working Groups as we make choices about programme direction, set fundraising priorities, allocate the use of limited human and financial resources, and develop long-term action plans. Good governance by the Board, leadership and management from the working group and voluntary contributions will enable IOED to succeed.
A strategy plan helps understand the capacities, problems and resources. An understanding of these areas help organizations analyze their strengths and build upon opportunities. One of the frequently used tools for developing the strategy plan is SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats).
