RESOLUTION ELECTING THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS, WHOSE NAMES ARE HEREUNTO APPENDED, TO LIFE MEMBERSHIP IN PI GAMMA MU, AND AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING THEIR INITIATION AS PRESCRIBED IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONSTITUTION OF PI GAMMA MU AND THE CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS OF THE PENNSYLVANIA DELTA CHAPTER

WHEREAS, Section 3 of Article III and Section 4 of Article IV of the Constitution and By-Laws of the Pennsylvania Delta Chapter vests in the Executive Council the power to elect qualified students, faculty,and alumni to life membership in Pi Gamma Mu, international honor society in social sciences, during a meeting held for this purpose;

WHEREAS, the following junior, senior and graduate students whose names are appended to this Resolution have complied with all the requirements prescribed by said Constitution and By-Laws and by the international Constitution of Pi Gamma Mu for regular election to life membership in Pi Gamma Mu, international honor society in social sciences; and

WHEREAS, Section 5 of Article IV of the Constitution and By-Laws of the Pennsylvania Delta Chapter provides that “[t]he induction of candidates elected to life membership shall be performed as prescribed by the Ritual of the Society, at a time and place designated by the Council”.

Resolved by the Executive Council of the Pennsylvania Delta Chapter, To elect the following students whose names are hereunto appended to life membership in Pi Gamma Mu, and To authorize a special meeting of this Council for the purpose of conducting their initiation as prescribed in the international Constitution of Pi Gamma Mu and the Constitution and By-Laws of this Chapter.

Candidates for election to Pi Gamma Mu, international honor society in social sciences, by the Executive Council of the Pennsylvania Delta Chapterduring the Council meeting called for this purpose on April 9, 2008. These candidates have been certified by the Treasurer and Secretary of the Chapter as having met all the requirements prescribed by the Constitution of Pi Gamma Mu and the Constitution and By-Laws of the Pennsylvania Delta Chapter for election to life membership in Pi Gamma Mu.
