- Secretary’s Report:
- Chris Smith read the September 2014 Minutes. We were dark in August and the September minutes were motioned, seconded and approved.
- Treasures Report:
- Chris Smith reported a balance of $701.00. Report was motioned, seconded and approved.
- Correspondence:
- None
- Announcements:
- The Orange Empire IAPMO Chapter meets at the Home Town Buffet in Santa Ana CA. They will dark in November in observance of Veterans Day.
- ICC Citrus Belt Chapter meets at Brandon’s Diner in Moreno Valley, CA. The next meeting will on Thursday November 20, 2014and starts at 6:30 PM.
- UPPA Chapter meets at The Golden Sail in Long Beach, CA. The next meeting will on Saturday November 8, 2014 at starts 8:00 AM.

- New Business:
- The CA IAPMO Chapter Summit was a success and only 2 chapters did not have representation. It was suggested that the next Chapter Summit be held on a Saturday and incorporate an I.E. Chapter meeting.
- It was mentioned that a list of “Listed and Approved” products should be generated and available through IAPMO.
- Code Questions:
- Water heater need to be “Listed and Approved” per the Energy Code, but if they do not meet the National Energy Criteria (NEC) they cannot be used in CA.
- Program Speaker:
- Douglas Davis – EcoloBlue Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG).
- EcoloBlue manufactures water generating equipment that removes water from the atmosphere and produces drinking water. The system is solar powered with an electrical cord back up.

- Douglas explained that household units need a minimum of 35% humidity to operate and only 30% humidity is needed for the commercial system. EcoloBlue has the only commercial unit that produces water at 32 degrees with 30% humidity.
- Monterey Peninsula Water Management District recently approved the use of AWG’s as a sole source of water for commercial and industrial properties.
- Douglas explained that in the future, water credits may be issued when the AWG is purchased. They are plans to manufacture a unit for coffee makers.
- There are currently 12 manufactures of AWG, but EcoloBlue is the oldest. They currently have their large units producing water in Abu Dhabi. Douglas mentioned that San Diego, CA has an average of 70% humidity and the unit would function very well in this environment.
- Douglas mentioned, “At this time, about 60% of the units sold are for “Prepares”. EcoloBlue’s information can be found at
