International 420 Class Association World/European/JuniorEuropean/Continental/Team Racing Championships 20XX

General

The General Assembly of the International 420 Class will agree which 420 NCA/MNA will act as host to events. NCA/MNAs who apply, must be able to fulfil the requirements and conditions laid down by the International 420 Class to host an event.

Before being accepted, a host nation must read, agree and sign to be bound by the guidelines, and guarantee that they can fulfil the requirements therein.

A host 420 Class Association must have the agreement of their National Authority before applying for an international event, and must be a member of the International 420 Class Association.

The NCA/MNA must guarantee that the host club can fulfil the International 420 Class guidelines.

Application to host an event should be made, in writing, at least before the 1st of July, two years before the event, to the International 420 Class President.

The Organising Committee shall ensure that the championships have the highest quality racing, the best conditions for developing individual friendship among competitors and goodwill among all participating people.

Contacts

A club which wishes to host an International 420 Championship must inform the International 420 Class Association through his National 420 Class Association. The club will then contact the President of the International 420 Class Association, who is in charge of the organisation of the international events. With him, the club will discuss opportunities to organise class championships that are not yet granted.

Official request

After discussion with the International Class, the club will send to the International 420 ClassAssociation an official written request, fully detailed and signed by the organising club’s president.

This must be accompanied by letters of support from the National 420 Class Association’s President, and the ISAF Member National Authority and a signed copy of the 420 Championship Guideline that the host club or NCA/MNA will follow these guidelines.

With the official request, a document will be attached, with the information below:

- Suggested dates

- Suggested venues

- Weather and tide details

-Travel and accommodation information

- Social and official program

- Particulars of the club and the area

- Experience in such championship organisation

- Reasons why the club or the NCA/MNA wishes to organise an event in this area

- Event budget

Feel free to include photos, brochures or any other descriptive material you have available to supplement your bid.

Granting

When the International 420 Class Association are confident about the capability of theapplicant to organise an international event and have received:

- the official proposal

- a formal letter confirming agreement to apply the guidelines

- a signed copy of the current guidelines, signed by both the host club and thehost National 420 Class or MNA

- letters of support from the National 420 Class Association’s President, and the ISAF Member National Authority

This complete proposal will be put to the general assembly of the international class, 2 years before the event, whowill make the final decision.
