Intermediate Course in Systemic Practice

Application for the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)

Who can apply for APEL?

APEL refers to how previously acquired learning and experience is recognised as meeting the equivalent to the requirements of a Foundation qualification in systemic practice. Thus candidates are allowed to progress to an Intermediate level training without having completed a formal Foundation course.

In order to enter at an Intermediate level without completing the Foundation you must demonstrate that you have met the learning outcomes for Foundation, set out by the Association for Family Therapy.

The Foundation qualification requires a minimum of 60 hours study in direct contact with course staff. In order to APEL the Foundation course, you must provide evidence of at least 30 hours attendance at relevant training events/courses.

THIS FORM SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE INTERMEDIATE APPLICATION FORM AND REFERENCES AND SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL BY FRIDAY 24th JULY 2015 TO:

Please complete all sections below, providing evidence of any qualifications, courses or other learning that has allowed you to meet ALL learning outcomes for the foundation course.
