Defined audience: Youth writers who are in high school, who has technical writing skills but who are looking to refine and develop their skills further. Others who are in use of the blog site are college student who want to submit their pieces of literature for exemplify critical writing techniques.

Features of the Blog Site: Featured pieces of literature, features to submit the pieces of literature, short author biographs on the students who submit literature, and section that links to outside literary and grammar resources.

“Universal’ design elements: Looking at several other blog sites they have a variety of interface and elements, however minimal elements between the various blogsites where noticed to be shared there is several sections of the blog site: the blog, about us, get in touch, and contributors. However, the most universal elements are that they have featured literary pieces on the homepage where you ae able to click and go straight to that article and the logos are at the top and part of (or next to) the navigation bar. Another is the at the sites all had buttons that allowed for sharing to social media sites.

Personas:

Persona A (Samuel): Who is a college student who is in a creative writing class that loves to write pieces if literature, writing for many different genres and styles. However, he takes great care in editing his literary works so that they have no grammatical, punctual and structural errors. He’s looking for a place to showcase his work.

Persona B (Moses): Is an inspired youth writer who is trying to read and analyze pieces of literature but looking for ways to further foster his talent. He has been creating grammar and punctuation errors that take away for the creativity and fluidity of his literary works.

Goals of the Interface: The main goals of the interface will be to allow experience authors to be able to upload their pieces of literature along with a short biography that illustrates their technical writing capabilities and tell of those who have influenced them and what techniques they have an affinity towards, the other goal is to site other resources that are able to the help developing writers who maybe struggling with grammar, character or voice and personal stylistic development.

Audience Language: The audiences’ language will be very technical literary language do the teaching aspect of the blog site and the prominent aspect of the literary technique that are being elaborated and told about.

Main Content Categories: The content will be the blog post itself, the submission tab, and the contact us tab.

Step 3: Task Analysis, Scenarios and task flow

The main goals of which the users will be using the interface will be to submit literature in the form of either poetry or flash fiction and the is to acquire better authorship.

The user’s scenarios are that: Moses, who is in the tenth grade has an assignment due that involved him writing a poem. He is told that the poem is supposed to have three tonal shifts, have an eccentric voice and to be written in prose style. Another user scenario is that: Samuel, who is a college student is an exception flash fiction writer who exemplifies many of the literary elements that define flash fiction. He has written a piece titled “Universal law”, he wants to share the piece on the blog site to teach and inspire young authors.
