Insurance/Revenue Cycle Coordinator

The Insurance/Revenue Cycle Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire contracting process for all lines of business, including contract offers and contract implementation. The position is responsible for understanding current reimbursement methodologies by provider type, and being familiar with the contract templates for the various lines of business.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Ø  Develops and maintains positive working relationships with contracted carriers. Responds to and promptly addresses concerns related to current or pending contract provisions or requirements.

Ø  Negotiates contracts with carriers, to include addressing any language, operational and reimbursement provision concerns, and utilizing a variety of negotiation strategies and techniques. Coordinates language responses with legal when necessary.

Ø  Coordinates notification and dissemination of contract terms and relevant information to other departments as appropriate, and is available to assist in educating other department staff on contract structure and implementation.

Ø  Monitors reimbursement patters to ensure appropriate compensation in accordance with contract.

Ø  Coordinate scanning documentation and storage of appropriate corporate documents related to Practice Transformation activity and contracting.

Ø  Other duties as assigned

The right person will:

Ø  Have a minimum of two years’ experience negotiating contracts with insurance carriers preferred

Ø  Be knowledgeable in various medical reimbursement platforms including Resource Based Relative Value System.

Ø  Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ø  Have training, project development, and management skills

Ø  Be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, word processing and spreadsheet skill

Ø  Be organized

Ø  Be detail oriented

Ø  Be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Ø  Be dependable

Ø  Be able to work well in both a team and independent environment with little direction and initiate work priorities

Ø  Be multi-task oriented
