Reading & Social Studies “All About Me” Video Project

Please visit animoto.com to create your “All About Me” Video. This is a FREE video creation website. You will only need to make a 30 second video that shows things that represent YOU! I, (Ms. Bernal) will screen all the videos before you can share them with your classmates to make sure the song and pictures you selected are appropriate for school. Your video will be graded on the following requirements.

POINTS / REQUIRMENTS
10 / One (1) slide that tells your name, grade and teacher’s name (Ms. Bernal)
10 / Include at least 1 picture of you (or more if you wish)
10 / Include at least 1 picture of your family and/or friends (or more if you wish)
10 / Include at least 1 picture of what you did this summer (or more if you wish)
10 / Your favorite color (include 1 image of something with your favorite color, ex. “green” apple)
10 / Your favorite food (include 1 image of your favorite food, ex. “Mexican food” - tacos)
10 / Your favorite drink (include 1 image of your favorite drink, ex. “lemonade”)
10 / Your favorite book (include 1 image of your favorite book, ex. “Super Fudge” a picture of the cover of the book. You can get it from google.com)
10 / Who are you a fan of? (A Sports Team, a Singer, or a Movie/TV star? Include 1 picture image)
10 / Include a Song (You may use a song from animoto.com or upload your own song-No Profanity!)
100 / TOTAL POINTS (5 points deducted for every day the project is late! Due Thurs., Sept. 10th!)

Instructions: (You MUST get permission and help from your parents to create an account. You will need this account throughout the school year for other projects). Follow these Instructions STEP by STEP:

Go to animoto.com- Create a FREE Account
Click on “Create Video”-Top Right Corner (Blue Tab)
Choose a “Style”- this is a Template for your Video
Click “Create Video” again. You will see four gray tabs on the right hand side.
Click on the second gray tab “Choose Music”- you can select a song from their song list, or upload your own-NO PROFANITY (BAD WORDS) PLEASE!!!!
If you use one of their songs, highlight the song you want, and then click “Add Song” on the bottom right blue tab), or
If you upload your own song, click on the “Upload Song” tab.
Next Click on the “Add Pics and Vids” tab on the right hand side to add pictures or video clips.
You can add pictures from your Computer, Facebook, Flicker, Instagram, etc. Please make sure they are appropriate for school.
Next, click on “Add Text” tab on the right hand side to add words to a slide. Here you are limited to how many words you can put on a slide. (Header: 22 characters, Text: 30 characters).
Click on the “Save” button-top right.
Then click on the “Preview” button- bottom left. You may decide to drag pictures in another order.
When you are happy with the layout, then click on the “Produce” button.
Lastly, email the video to your teacher at by clicking on the little orange envelope button. I look forward to learning ALL ABOUT YOU! ***If you cannot fit everything in the 30 seconds available, just please try to get in as many of the requirements as possible!!***

I also understand that my child will receive a penalty of 5 points/day if their project is late. I also understand that I can help my child and that we will do our best to complete it on time.
