POSITION TITLE: Title IX Case Manager

SUPERVISOR: Title IX Coordinator

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Title IX Case Manager supports the work of the Title IX Team by providing case management to members of the St. Olaf community who have experienced sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct, and by supporting information, training and outreach efforts aimed at eliminating sexual misconduct or assault, preventing their recurrence, and addressing their effects.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Provide general case management services (intake, referral, communication, and ongoing support) in addressing complaints of sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct, including record keeping of intakes, referrals, and communication with complainants, respondents, and other parties.

2. Provide for timely and consistent communication with complainants and respondents in cases of sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct.

3. Provide assistance to members of the St. Olaf community in accessing on- and off-campus support services, and implementing interim safety accommodations, related to sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct.

4. Coordinate investigations of reports to the college concerning sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct.

5. Assist with efforts to provide clear, transparent information to the college community concerning Title IX personnel, policies procedures, and resources, including how to report sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct, and how to access resources.

6.  Provide support for campus-wide training and outreach programs for students, faculty, and staff related to sexual assault or other forms of sexual misconduct, and track the completion of required training, including the training of members of the Title IX team.

7.  Develop and manage a case management database, and prepare reports on the number, nature, and disposition of allegations of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and other forms of sexual harassment.

8.  Serve as a member of the Title IX team.

9. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Essential: Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Training or experience in areas such as Title IX or other regulatory compliance, case management, program development, education and training, information management, communication

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

·  Ability to respond appropriately and with sensitivity to persons in crisis or emergency situations

·  Ability to interpret and assist with local implementation of federal and state statutes, regulations, and policy guidance

·  Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written

·  Strong capacity for both independent and collaborative work

·  Flexibility, initiative and problem-solving abilities

·  Ability to work effectively with diverse students, staff, and faculty

·  High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality

·  Commitment to a church-related, liberal arts setting

WORK SCHEDULE: FTE: 1.0

Term: 12 months

Schedule: Regular office hours - 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.; evenings and weekends may be required
