INSTRUCTIONS FOR REMOVAL OF WET CYCLINDER SLEEVES WITH THE CG80 PULLER

1.  Remove cyclinder head and pistons.

2.  Place pins in proper holes of the CG80-2 yoke for the inside diameter of the sleeve to be pulled. The diameter ranges of the holes are stamped on the side of the yoke (3”-4”, 4”-5” and 5”-6”).

3.  Place pins in the proper holes of the jaws (tubing) for the length of the sleeve. The bottom most hole is for 7” long sleeves and each hole above increases the length by 1” to a maximum of 12”.

4.  Drop puller into sleeve making certain that the tool steel inserts (see backside of this sheet for proper insert selection) of the jaws snap in below the bottom of the sleeve. Tighten handwheel.

5.  Adjust bridge spread to best fit on the block. Center the yoke and jaw assembly over the sleeve. Tighten socket head cap screw FINGER TIGHT to lock bridge in place.

6.  Pull sleeve by using an impact wrench or manual type wrench on the hex head of the pressure screw. Wear safety goggles. Keep hand clear of the yoke and jaw assembly during pulling operation.

7.  If necessary, attach slide hammer assembly to the pressure screw to complete pulling operation.
