  12. This screen has two choices – Didactic Content and Cases. The Didactic Content offers two choices: Procedure Overview and Pathology Atlas. The first time you use the simulator you should go through the Procedure Overview and the Pathology Atlas.
  13. The cases are numbered 1 through 6. Go through them in any order you choose.
  14. After you select a case, you will be prompted to begin by inserting the scope tip into the mannekin. Make sure the tip is felt to be “grabbed” by the mannekin. You will not see an image on the screen until the tip is properly “grabbed”. Proceed through the case using any scope controls you find useful. (Note: you may not use the biopsy tool until you get to the last six cases)
  15. When you finish a case, click “continue” to view your performance analysis. Click “continue” again to get back to the list of available cases. Please note on the Simulator Log any abnormalities / observations.
  16. Clicking “back” will return to the login screen if you want to login as a different user or allow another user to log in so his/her score will be recorded under his/her own name.
  17. Eventually you need to complete each case under your own user name so that your performance will be tracked and recorded.
  18. When you are finished doing cases, click “EXIT” in the lower right corner
  19. When you get to the Immersion Medical main screen, click “start” then “shut down” then “OK” to turn the computer off.
