Instructions for individuals crossing the customs border

on personal means of transport

The Russian Federation is a member-state of the Eurasian Economic Union which includes the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. The territory of the above mentioned states forms a customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Dear participants and guests

of the 16th FINA World Championships 2015 in Kazan!

In case you are traveling to the Championships on your personal means of transport, you are kindly requested to obey the following rules.

Customs payments are not to be paid in case the following conditions are satisfied:

- means of transportis being imported temporarily for the period of foreign citizen’s stay on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union,but no longer than for 1 year

- means of transport belongs to the foreign citizen

- means of transportwas registered in a foreign state

- means of transport isbeing imported only for the foreign citizen’s personal use

When crossing the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Unionmeans of transportshall be declared and the following documents shall be submitted to the customs authorities:

-Passenger Customs Declaration filled out in two copies (Appendix 1)

-Identification document (passport or other document)

-Document certifying the right to use the means of transport

Customs officer will mark the terms of importing the means of transportin ‘For the official use only’ box of the Passenger Customs Declaration.One copy of thePassenger Customs Declaration will be returned to the individual importing the means of transport.

Important note! This copy of the Passenger Customs Declaration should be kept when travelling within the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. Also it should be presented in the place of departure from the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union when exporting the means of transport back.

Using the means of transport on the territory of the Russian Federation is only allowed when compulsory insurance of civil liability (OSAGO) is issued. The insurance could be arranged at customs terminals when entering into the country. The price for the insurance varies depending on the type of means of transport and engine output.

Please note that temporarily imported means of transport must be exported back in the fixed dates. Civil penalties are imposed on those responsible for violation of these requirements.
