INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING ADVANCED PLACEMENT

EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS

GRANT APPLICATION

Limited money is again available for one-time only equipment and materials for Advanced Placementcourses. Priority will be given to new Advanced Placement courses and Math, Science, and Computer Science. Grant awards will be for a maximum of $1,000. This is for courses which have not previously received money under the Arkansas Advanced Placement Incentive Program (1995 – present). For the purpose of this funding opportunity, “materials” are defined as instructional items (i.e., books, manipulatives, etc.) and “equipment” is any necessary device (i.e., graphing calculators, etc.), directly related to The College Board Advanced Placement course(s) offered in Arkansas public schools. Computers and monitors for computers are not approvable items.

The attached application must be submitted on or before October 1, 2001. Applications may be submitted by mail to Ann Biggers, Room 203-B, 4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR 72201; e-mail: ; or

If approved, purchases should be completed as soon as possible in order to submit proof of purchase (i.e., paid invoices, etc.) to receive reimbursement. Reimbursements will be made on a monthly basis. The sooner paid invoices are submitted, the sooner reimbursements can be made.
