Install Web Server Plug-in

__1. Open the Windows Services panel.

__2. Verify that the “IBM HTTP Server 6.0” and “IBM WebSphere Application Server V6...” services are both stopped. You can right click on the services and stop them if they are not stopped already.

__3. Open a Windows Explorer window or use one you already have open.

__4. Navigate to the C:\Software\WEB SERVER PLUGIN\plugin directory and double click the install.exe file to start the installation.

__5. In the Welcome screen, uncheck all checkboxes and press the Next button.

__6. Accept the license agreement and pressthe Next button.

__7. Upon successful completion of the prerequisite check, press the Next button.

__8. From the list of web servers, select the radio button for IBM HTTP Server V6. Press the Next button.


__9. For the installation scenario, select the radio button for the “WebSphere Application Server machine (local)” scenario as shown below. Press the Next button.

__10. Change the install directory to C:\RAD6\runtimes\base_v6\plugins

__11. Verify that the directory shown on the next screen matches the value that you entered previously, but without the \Plugins component. Press the Next button when you have verified that it matches.


__12. In the next screen hit the Browse button and navigate to find the following file:

C:\Program Files\IBM HTTP Server\conf\httpd.conf

Once you have found the correct file in the file chooser dialog and opened the file your Plug-in installation wizard should appear similar to below. Press the Next button.

__13. Accept the default name of 'webserver1' for the web server definition name and press the Next button.

__14. Accept the default location of the Plug-in configuration file and press the Next button.

__15. Press the Next button to confirm the creation of a web server definition in the default WebSphere profile.

__16. Press the Next button to begin the installation.

__17. Press the Next button when the installation is complete.

__18. Close the web browser that is opened with the installation roadmap.

__19. Press the Finish button on the setup wizard to exit.
