/ You have asked us to look at drivers showing disregard for designated 30mph speed limits within the Witham On The Hill NPT area. This is occurring between the hours of 07:00 – 09:30hrs and 15:00 – 18:00hrs Monday to Friday.
We will be conducting high visibility patrols (in order to act as a visual deterrent), deploying the mobile speed sign at strategic places at poignant times of the day, Police Officers to conduct hand held radar checks (thereby educating drivers for Speed Seminars / Endorsable Fixed Penalty Notice’s / Report for summons where appropriate), conducting school visits to educate young people (where it is hoped that this will be imparted onto parents) and liaising with the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership. The local community will also be requested to report any perceived incidents of speeding, thereby allowing areas to be identified within the large geographical area.
Patrols are currently still being carried out by Officers within the Witham on the Hill Beat Area.
