Summary
Create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications and collaborate and communicate with appropriate parties. Analyze existing applications or formulate logic for new applications, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding and debug programs. Maintain and utilize application and programming documents in the development of code. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Create appropriate deliverables and develop application implementation plans throughout the life cycle.
Job Requirements
Assists with development of basic code for internal and external client software solutions. Assists with the routine design, creation and delivery of programming specifications for code development and support on a limited number of projects/issues and gains a basic understanding of the application and/or area as it relates to assigned projects and how the functional area interacts/effects other functional areas.
Gains coding proficiency by assisting others with correcting basic code deficiencies.
Assists with basic application documentation, testing and validation. Through on-the-job training, progressively becomes familiar with procedures, methodology and application standards to include Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance.
Qualifications
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Information Systems knowledge/experience around JavaScript and integrated systems
- Willingness and drive to learn technologies
- HTML
- SQL or Oracle database interaction
- API (e.g. XML)
- Java is a plus
Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field
Typically No Relevant Experience Required - Four-year college degree and 0 years, or a high school diploma with 2+ years of professional experience in coding, designing, developing and analyzing data
Preferred Qualifications
Typically Minimum 2 Years Relevant Exp - IBM Rational Tools
