Minimum and maximum number of modules to be taken for each semester/year / 12 credits – 20 credits differing from respective TU college
Are students allowed to take cross-faculty modules? / Yes, subject to availability of the modules, as well as the approval from home university. IECO is responsible for such kind of cross-faculty affair.
Can students take modules of a different level, eg. students at Year 1 take Level 3 modules? / Yes, subject to:
- Availability of the modules;
- Approval by the respective TU college

/ Please make confirmation and seal at the column of Confirmation by Competent Department at home University on the application form before sending application documents.Application outcome / The students will receive admission notification and JW202 by the first week of July (for those coming in Fall) or first week of January (for those coming in Spring)
Is medical report required?
/ Yes.Can students extend their exchange stint?
For extension requests, please refer to the following link: / If the exchange quota permits, student may be allowed to extend his/her exchange stint in TU.When will the Official Transcripts be ready?
/ The transcripts come out one week after examination.Students can check and print out unofficial copies from the following website with respective ID
Two copies of the official transcripts will be sent to the office responsible for student exchange at the home university directly by IECO after two months after completion of the exchange.
Accommodation
Is university accommodation available for exchange students? Is it guaranteed?
Where will exchange students be accommodated? / Accommodation is guaranteed for exchange student in principal.
However room type is not guaranteed.
How will exchange students request for accommodation
How will successful applicants be notified of the outcome / Fill in and send the accommodation request form with other application documents to IECO.
The student will receive the notification with other admission materials.
Is accommodation available over semester breaks? / Yes, students who are on full year exchange are eligible for vacation stay.
If on-campus accommodation is not available, will there be any assistance in finding private housing? / The accommodation for exchange students at university lever is guaranteed.

Visa Requirements
Are exchange students required to obtain a student Visa?
If yes, will the university assist in the application? / Yes. Exchange student who has been accepted by TU will receive an admission notice and JW202 which are for student visa application.

Medical Insurance
Are exchange students required to purchase a compulsory medical insurance plan? / Yes. International Students are required to purchase comprehensive insurance which will cost 300 RMB/semester or 600RMB/year.

Food/Meals / RMB 1000-2000 ( 3 meals a day)
Personal expenses (such as laundry, sundries and local transportation) / RMB 100 -200
