Association of African Public Administration Managers (AAPAM) / AAPAM was established in 1971 to respond to challenges that faced newly-independent African countries. This association of heads of public service from across the continent was formed to improve Africa’s public administration and governance systems through training and research. / Membership is open to the public, educational and corporate sectors within all countries on the African continent. / Vision & Mission
To Promote and Spearhead Best Practice, Excellence and Professionalism in Public Administration and Management in Africa / -  To build capacity for development in African public administration.
-  To provide a forum aimed at exchanging knowledge for those who practice, teach and conduct research or offeradvisory services in public administration and management in both the public and private sectors, mainly but not exclusively, in Africa.
African Management Development Institute Network (AMDIN) / AMDIN was established in 2005 and it serves as the capacity development instrument for African public service and brings about improvement in service delivery within the continent. / As a pan-African Network of African Management Development Institutes, AMDIN’s membership is open to all African countries. / Vision

-  Strengthening the collective capacity of MDIs through sharing of resources and developing relevant skills of management and other employees of MDIs
African Training and Research
Centre in Administration
for Development (CAFRAD) / CAFRAD was established in 1964 and was started to address the developmental challenges of African countries that had just gained independence. It continues to assist member states with capacity-building through training initiatives for government officials. / All African countries are eligible to join CAFRAD. There are currently 37 member states that form part of CAFRAD. / Vision
To create a new visionary leadership, support participatory and equitable development policies, sustain a performing public service and raise awareness of governments in human governance and make them sensitive to the population’s needs.
Mission
To serve as a Centre of Excellence to support governments’ actions and those of related bodies in capacity development, innovation in public administration for improved service delivery to the citizens. / -  Capacity development through staff training and development
-  To undertake, promote and coordinate comparative studies and research on administrative and governance problems connected with social and economic development in Africa
ESAMI – Tanzania / ESAMI is a higher learning institution that was established in 1979 to address the skills gap and capacity deficiency that characterised post-independence African states so as to bring about efficient public administration. / ESAMI is owned by ten African member states from Eastern and Southern Africa but non-member states from all over Africa can participate in its management development programmes. / Vision
To be the preferred global centre for excellence in leadership, management training and advisory services by 2014.
Mission
To develop leadership and management competences of clients to enable them achieve organizational results and excel in the delivery of management training and education, new knowledge generation networking and advisory services. / To improve the performance and management effectiveness of public, private, and international organisations in Africa through:

-  Management consultancy and advisory services as well as management training and education.
ASCON - Nigeria / ASCON was founded in 1973 as a higher learning institution that would provide training to senior managers in both the public and private sectors in order to facilitate economic growth. / Participation in ASCON is open to public and private sector managers from across the globe. / Vision & Mission
To consistently provide excellent management training, consultancy, research and allied services for performance improvement in all the sectors of the economy. / -  To provide higher management training for the development of senior executives for public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy

CISPAM – Botswana (CIPS) / Established in 1932, CIPS is a professional membership body working for procurement and supply management professionals all over the world / Membership is open to senior business people, high-ranking civil servants and leading academics from all around the world. / Vision
We will achieve universal recognition that excellence in purchasing and supply management is an imperative for responsible organisational success and hence the public good.

CIPS aims to fulfil the objectives of its Royal Charter, deliver value to stakeholders and be recognised as a point of reference and authority.

IIAS / The IIAS was established in 1930as a space for exchanges that promote knowledge and practices to improve the organization and operation of Public Administration and to ensure that public agencies will be in a position to better respond to the current and future expectations and needs of society / Membership is open to all countries globally and can be applied for in writing. A membership contribution is required. / Vision

Commonwealth Association of Public Administration and
Management (CAPAM) / CAPAM was established in 1994 to facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge on public administration among Commonwealth countries. / Membership is limited to public servants, academics and researchers from Commonwealth countries. / Mission
To promote the practical requirements of good governance, just and honest government across the Commonwealth countries.
Vision
Providing a forum for the active exchange of innovations, knowledge and practice in citizen-centered service delivery, leadership development and growth, and public service management and renewal. / -  To facilitate good governance and endeavour to build a more responsive and dynamic public service primarily in Commonwealth countries.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) / The UNDP was established in 1966 with the merger of theExpanded Programme of Technical Assistanceor EPTA and theUnited Nations Special Fund.The rationale was to "avoid duplication of their activities". The EPTA was to help the economic and political aspects of underdeveloped countries while the Special Fund was to enlarge the scope of UN technical assistance / UN member states are eligible to be part of this programme. / Vision & Mission

United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) / CEPA was formed in 2001 and was established to support and promote public administration among its member states. / 24 states are currently members and they convene regularly at New York. / Vision & Mission
Assisting the member states of the United Nations in fostering efficient, effective, transparent, accountable, clean and citizen-centered public governance, administration and services through innovation and technology to achieve the internationally agreed development goals including the MDGs. / -  Building public administration capacity, including institutional restructuring andhuman resource development.

African Union / The AU was established on 26 May 2001 in Addis Ababa and launched on 9 July 2002 in South Africa to foster continental integration and address the development challenges faced by African countries and that stemmed from colonialism. / All African states are eligible to join. 54 African countries are members. / Vision
