2014 Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville Announces Bestselling Books for Purchase

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 12, 2013 –Just in time for last minute holiday shopping, the 2014 Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville today posted on its website links to purchase thenewlypublished books authored by the renowned designers and style mavens who will speak at the show, which is scheduled for Feb. 7-9, 2014 at the new Music City Center.

“This year’s show is blessed with one of the finest collections of design talent in the history of the event – and every celebrity designer at the show has recently published a book chronicling their style,” said Vee Vee Scott, event co-chair.

“Gifting one or more of these books to your friends now will get them one step closer to having them signed by the authors during the Antiques and Garden Show,” added event co-chair Mindy Jacoway.

Lady Catherine, The Earl and the Real Downton Abbeyis written bykeynote lecturer Lady Carnarvon, the eighth and current countess of Highclere Castle, which is the property featured in the PBS series, Downton Abbey. Lady Carnarvon’s new book closely mirrors the show’s upcoming season, which picks up with the Downton residents in 1922, the year in which Catherine married Lord Porchester, master of Highclere Castle. Nashville will be the first stop on Lady Carnarvon’s U.S. book tour.

The Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville brings together top interior designers, landscape architects and purveyors of fine furnishings for a three-day event that showcases the elements – indoors and outdoors – that make a house a home. The charitable event was founded in 1989by Connie Cigarran and the late Sigourney Cheek. It is produced in partnership with the Economic Club of Nashville, formerly The Nashville Exchange Club, and over 200 volunteers.
