Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will review DIACAP and IA documentation to ensure that they are compliant with DoDI 8510.01, DoD IA Controls, DoD 8500.2, and the DoN Handbook. This documentation will include the system identification profile (SIP) and the DIACAP implementations plan (DIP), and system IA documentation.

  • Review findings from initial security assessments to obtain a security baseline of all applications to identify any security issues that need resolution and track Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M)’s.
  • Review and provide comments on system IA-related documentation including the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), Configuration Management (CM) Plan, Incident Response Plan, and Information System Security Plan (ISSP).
  • Review a set of detailed configuration guidelines for the systems undergoing accreditation, to facilitate the secure configuration of the devices that comprise of the system being accredited, the results of the security testing, and the initial risk assessment report that will be used to populate the formal DIACAP package’s Scorecard.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain. Preference will be given to those applicants with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS is desired.
  • A Security+ or CISSP is required.
  • Experienced with and have in-depth knowledge of DIACAP guidance, DoDI 8510.01 and DoD IA Controls, DoD 8500.2.
  • Experience assessing compliance to DoD IA Controls is required.
  • 5 years or more of C&A experience is required.
  • 3 years with DIACAP experience and Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) processes and C&A support for DoD and/or DON agencies is preferred.
  • Relevant hands on experience with Windows operating systems (W2K, W2K3, XP, W2K8, Vista), Unix, Linux, firewalls, intrusion detection systems is required.
  • Experience with RETINA (or other scanning tool), DISA Gold Disk, DISA STIGS and SRR (scripts).
  • An understanding and in-depth knowledge of DoD and DON IA policy.
  • Experience in providing IA guidance and identifying IA requirements for system development and/or engineering projects.
  • Working knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), DoD Instruction 8510.01, and DoN DIACAP Handbook is preferred. Should also be familiar with MSC IA policy, and CIMSCINST 5239.3A.

This Position will be responsible for the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) testing of a variety of systems of different operating systems and technologies:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide security expertise to projects during certification testing, and providing a variety of IA-related input; e-mails, meetings, talking papers, etc; evaluating and assessing systems vulnerability scans and penetration test results; and preparing risk assessments.
  • Prepare and review complete C&A packages for information technology systems requirements.
  • Test, prepare, support and review C&A documentation and provide guidance, as needed.
  • Provide security expertise to projects during development/testing, deployment, and operation.
  • Support and review C&A documentation, conduct testing and analysis of systems, determine system risks, and provide remediation guidance as needed.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience minimum is required.

AMHS System Administrator

We have an excellent opportunity available for an AMHS System Administrator in Bahrain.

The AMHS System Administrator will report to the Bahrain Site Technical Lead. This position will be responsible for the administration and operation of all DMS components installed in the Bahrain Communications Facility. These Systems will be operated on a 24/7 basis so shift work is anticipated. The components are focused on the AMHS / CP-EXP but include all DMS components associated with a Local Control Center. The CENTCOM AOR is considered an austere environment and 60 hour work weeks are anticipated.

Responsibilities:

  • The AMHS System Administrators are responsible for keeping the Bahrain Communications Facility operating on a 24/7 basis within the metrics prescribed for DMS.
  • The Administrators will recognize and react to problems in the AMHS, CP-EXP and Local Directory LDSA) and will also work with the base network engineers and DISA DMS backbone operators to ensure availability and reliability standards are achieved.
  • The administrative services include servicing existing accounts, creating new user accounts, assignment of responsibilities to down-range Organizational Messaging Points of Contact (OMPOCS) troubleshooting and repairing problems, and reporting problems up-channel to the appropriate government agency.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • A Secret clearance is required.
  • At least 5 years of military messaging with 3 years of years of direct experience with operations associated with the Defense Messaging System (DMS) is required.
  • The DMS System Administrator operator must have attended formal training on some DMS component, preferably the AMHS, and should be able to provide certificates or credentials establishing the time and place of training.
  • It is desirable that the candidate has at least 3 years of experience with all components of DMS that will be located at the Bahrain facility is required as well. These components include but are not limited to the DSA, the ADUA, the AMHS, CP-EXP, CAW with ECA, and associated firewalls and switches.
  • The DMS System Administrator will serve as a backup CAW operator. The position requires CAW or ISSO certification. Recent experience in the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) is helpful.
