Individual Giving & Legacy Manager (maternity cover)

You will be required to travel very occasionally within the UK.

Revitalise is the UK’s largest provider of respite holiday breaks with 24-hour nursing care for people with disabilities and carers. Our work is underpinned by one immutable belief – everybody needs a break.

Our three centres now provide close to 5,000 essential breaks each year for people with some of the most challenging disabilities and those who care for them. Job Purpose

You will be responsible for maintaining relationships with our current individual donors, providing stewardship of our supporters by providing them with regular information and feedback regarding the impact of their donations.

You will do this through different communication channels – e-newsletters, hard copy newsletters, impact reports and social media. You will need excellent written skills and an eye for creativity as you will be responsible for content of these communications and by providing engaging materials tell our story to secure increased loyalty and support

You will use your creativity and strong communication skills to help increase income from the public through donor acquisition programmes, appealing for one off donations, regular giving and responses from our direct mail appeals programme.

You will take an active role in developing on-line giving, so an understanding of digital fundraising will be a distinct advantage.

You will have responsibility for implementing the donor journey and with support ensure this is automated to maximise efficiency.

In addition, you will look after those who have already left legacies to the charity, and work with the Director of Fundraising to identify others and to offer stewardship and closer involvement in the charity.

In Memoriam activity will also fall within your remit.

Summary of Main Duties:

Responsible for the briefing and creation of leaflets, letters, newsletters and other direct mail activity to support income generation from individuals

Explore and testnew audiences for fundraising DM, from existing databases as well as new mailing lists.

Work with the marketing team on online, email and social media fundraising campaigns

Develop proposals to attract individuals in new innovative ways.

Provide analysis and reporting of fundraising campaign & appeal results

Process all donations from appeals and regular giving programme, logging information on to the fundraising database.

Provide analysis and reporting of donor database, trends and types

Provide stewardship to individualdonors through regular comms

Handle individual supporter enquiries

Record donations and thank all donors in a timely fashion, ensuring the database is kept up to date

Be responsible for managing Rapidata and CAF relationships.

Ensuring all GiftAid from individual donations is claimed regularly

Provide stewardship of legators ensuring they are engaged with the charity to the level they wish

Identify and mail available information of the benefits of legacies to all to encourage support

To manage the In Memoriam programme

To manage the on-line giving processes and contribute to the relevant website pages

To further develop an existing online lottery programme, promoting amongst our supporter, guest, volunteer and wider network, growing income from this particular stream and to seek develop other similar partnership opportunities for additional income growth and promotion of the charity’s work.

To attend and contribute constructively to team meetings as required.

To positively promote the work and activities of Revitalise at all times to ensure that it is acknowledged as a charity deserving of voluntary financial support by the general public.

To engage with other areas of fundraising activity where appropriate.

To support the Director of Fundraising and keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and comply with relevant legislation, regulation, and industry best practice.

To undertake other duties as may be requested by the Director of Fundraising
