Day 3 Highlights
Introduction of Women’s Kabaddi for the first time by Indian Blind Sports Association(IBSA).
Powerlifting Championship
5- a- side Football Clinic by IBSA-International accredited Football Coach (Level 1)
USHA Sports Championships for the Blind organized by the Indian Blind Sports Association (IBSA) and Usha International, entered its third day with gusto. An array of events began today. Women’s Kabaddi was introduced for the first time. While men’s Kabaddi matches continued, Powerlifting was another attraction which began today.
Athletics Coaching Camp &Seminar
Athletics Coaching Camp and Seminar, being held parallel to the various sports competitions continued today. Dr. Satya Pal, Chief Athletics Coach, IBSA & Dronacharya Awardee and Mr G Krishnan, World Para Athletics Technical Official took another session to brief the participants on athletics completion rules and regulations, imperatives of fitness and practical fitness exercises.
5- a- side Football Clinic
Shri P Sarvana Ram, IBSA-International accredited Football Coach (Level 1) conducted a Coaching camp for the athletes wherein he shared the latest International Football Rules of International Blind Football Federation and held practical techniques of the game. He also distributed the latest rule book to the participants.
The highlights were 6 matches were played amongst 6 Women’s team on Ground 2 and in men’s Kabaddi, 10 pool matches were played among 18 men’s teams at Ground 1 in the 4th IBSA National Kabaddi Championship in the grounds of The Blind Relief Association in New Delhi. The results are as follows:

Women’s Kabaddi
6 matches were played by 6 teams from across 4 states.
Match 1. National Federation of the Blind, Delhi trounced NIVH Model School for the Visually Handicapped, Dehradun, Uttrakhand by 43-12 points.
Match 2. Devnar Foundation for the Blind, Hyderabad beat Association For the Blind, Delhi by 46 to 30 points.
Match 3. National Sports Club of the Blind NSCB, Maharashtra beat A.I.A.S.H.A, Mumbai by 44 to 34 points.
Match 4. Devnar Foundation for the Blind, Hyderabad beat National Federation of the Blind, Delhi by 61-50 points.
Match 5. National Sports Club of the Blind NSCB, Mumbai trounced NIVH Model School for the Visually Handicapped, Dehradun, Uttrakhand by 63-16 points.

Match 6. Association for the Blind persons, Delhi beat A.I.A.S.H.A, Mumbai by 42 to 25 points.

POOL A:
Match 8. JPM Sr. School for the Blind, Delhi trounced Devnar Foundation for the Blind, Hyderabad, by 60 to 06 points.
Match 9 National federation of the Blind, Delhi beat Institution for the Blind, Delhi by 57 to 55 points.
POOL B:
Match 8. Netraheen Vikas Sansthan, Jodhpur beat Blind Persons Association, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh by 36 to 33 points.
Match 9. Child Old Blind Home Welfare Society, Delhi defeated Kirori Mal College, Delhi by 43-17 points.
POOL C:
Match 8. Vocational Training Centre, Delhi beat Navdrishti Social and Welfare Society, Delhi by 54 to 44 points.
Match 9. Anand Singh Smarak, Delhi defeated National Association for the Blind, Bihar by 39-16 points.
POOL D:
Match 8. Deepanjali Trust For the Disabled, Bangalore - Walk over
Match 9. School/home for Visually Challenged Children, Himachal Pradesh beat Telangana Para Blind Sports Association, Hyderabad by 42-38 points.
Match 10. A.I.A.S.H.A, Mumbai defeated Association for the Blind persons, Delhi by 78-33 points.
Match 11. School/home for Visually Challenged Children, Himachal Pradesh - Walk over.
Special Attractions of Day 4 (Jan 11, 2018)
On Thursday, January 11, a session on Introduction of Judo Rules would be held by Shri Munuwar Anzar, the only Paralympic Referee, London 2012 from India and South Asia, a Yash Bharti Awardee and a 7th Degree Black Belt Diploma from International Judo Federation.
Lawn Tennis Clinic followed by practical sessions will be conducted by Shri Ramdas Shivhare, who learned Lawn Tennis for Blind from Japan while he was undergoing one year Leadership Training in Japan.
Over 540 participants, including 140 female blind sports persons from ten states, namely, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttarakhand are participating in this blind sports event which will conclude on Saturday, 13 January. The sports events include 4th IBSA Kabaddi Championships; 7th IBSA Powerlifting Championships; 2nd IBSA Judo Championship; and Coaching Camp and Seminar on Blind Sports.
