Each show will include a heat for the Knock out Jumping Championship with the final held on Sunday 13th September the winner will be crowned the Knock out Jumping Champion 2009. Each show will include a qualifier for the Cross breed dog on top for 2009.
All to be held at Brooksby College, Brooksby, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire,

Show opens at 7.30am Briefing at 8.15am Judging commences at 8.30am
Entry fees: £2.30 per class
Camping: £6.00 per unit per night

Power and Speed Is set in 2 sections, an agility section ( power )and a jumping section ( speed ), the power section is completed first and is not timed , then the speed section which is timed .
Flick Flack Challenge Jumping There will be a line of jumps across the ring once your dog has started the timer you must Flick Flack till the whistle blows then you complete the finish jump.

Time Fault & Out The judge sets a time and a course; the competitor must complete the course until they are either timed out or faulted out.
Tunnel Vision This is a course with only jumps and tunnels (and maybe weaves). The tunnels are traps and any dog entering a tunnel is eliminated.

Beat the Judge Agility The judge will seal a time in an envelope and only to be opened after the class has closed , the dog who's time (clear) is closest to the judges time will be the winner.

Snooker Agility This is like the ball game but with agility equipment. Each obstacle will have a colour instead of a number and you must complete a red then a colour and a red again then a colour etc till all the reds have been used then you complete the colours in sequence.

Helter Skelter. This is a jumping course based on a decreasing or increasing circle.
Gamblers Agility. This is each piece of contact equipment will have a point value , you will score as many points as possible in an alloted time , if you fault your turn is over, once your turn is over you can increase your points by the gamble which will be at the finish.

The top 8 on points from each ability level and the winner of both Jumping and Agility classes over this weekend total of 12 dogs per ability level.
All finalists at all heights , all levels will run over a jumping course and an agility course, placing from each run will be given points to decide an overall Dog on Top and a Elementary Dog on Top, a Starters Dog on Top , a Novice plus Dog on Top and a Veteran Dog on top.

The winners of each level will receive a trophy and £30.00 , the second place will each receive a trophy and £20.00 , the third place will each receive a trophy and £10.00. The winner overall will be the Dog on Top 2009 summer series and will receive a splendid trophy and free runs for all dogs on top winter shows of 2009/2010 (this has to be used with the same dog and handler partnership and is non transferable)
Knock out Jumping Championship
This is 2 dogs running a circular jumping course with the winner going on to the next round. This will be a pay on the day class at £2.00 per dog, there will be trophies to 2nd place and rosettes to 4th place in both classes. The top four dogs will qualify for the final. Dogs can only qualify once but can compete in as many heats as they wish , in the case of a qualified dog being in the qualifying places the next dog in the placings will qualify. All heats and final will be Class 1 open to all large dogs ( jumps set at 2ft) and Class 2 open to all mediums, minis and small dogs (jumps set at 9inch's).

Trophies and Rosettes
Trophies to 3rd in all classes
( 4th place trophies may be given in large classes )
Rosettes to 20% of entries in all classes.
Clear round rosettes in all classes but must be collected at the show.
Elementary = Grade 1
Starters = Grade 2
Novice = Grade 3/4
Senior plus = Grade 5/6/7
Novice plus = Grades 3 and above
Veterans Classes are open to all dogs over the age of 7. Dogs may jump any height apart from large. Veterans may enter open classes at their chosen height.
Any size classes is open to ANY dog who is not entered in any other class in this show .
Large Open to dogs measuring over 43cms at the withers
Jump heights will be 60cms (2ft)
Medium Open to dogs measuring over 35cms and under 43cms at the withers
Jump heights will be 45cms (1ft 6ins)
Mini Open to dogs measuring over 27cms and under 35cms at the withers
Jump heights will be 35cms (1ft 2ins)
Small Open to dogs measuring under 27cms at the withers
Jump heights will be 22.5 cms (9ins)

Everyone should help at every show so at each show a list will be up of helpers times and rings and this list will also be posted on www.dogsontop.co.uk
