Increasing the discoverability of CQ Press productson your campus

The following outlines suggestions that will help ensure your users can easily locate content in the CQ Press Library.

CQ Weekly is a product of CQ Press and CQ Roll Call, publishing reports on the world's most powerful legislative body completely and accurately every week,

CQ Almanac has been the definitive annual reference for studying the U.S. Congress since its launch in 1945,

Political Handbook of the World is the most authoritative and complete presentation of facts and analysis on the major aspects of international government and politics,

Adding CQ Press products to your catalogue and library websites

  • We suggest cataloguing all products listed above as databases, within A-to-Z and/or subject database listings
  • Online demos of manyCQ Press Library products can be found via this page, you need additional training, productbrochures, or other materials, please contact us .
  • MARC records are made available to all customers via OLCL and can be added to your catalogue upon account activation. Visit the OCLC website for more information, NOTE: MARC records are not available forCQ Collections andState Stats, as these require traditional publication metadata.
  • Search widgets for many products can be downloaded from this page,
  • All CQ Press Librarymetadata is delivered monthly to e-resource management services, such as those provided bySerials Solutions (360 Core, etc.); CUFTS; EBSCOs; Ex Libris (SFX, Alma, etc.); OCLC; and TD-Net.

Finding CQ Researcherthrough discovery services and search engines

The followingare currently indexed by ‘web-scale’ discovery tools, such as Summon and Primo: CQ Researcher, CQ Weekly, and CQ Almanac. The following are not currently indexed: State Stats, US Political Stats, and the CQ Collections. (SAGE is currently working with all library discovery providers on discovery solutions.) Similarly, most CQ Press Library products can be found – but may not be fully indexed – in mainstream search tools:
