Cereal Box
Now that you have finished your book, use your creativity to share the story with others. Create a cereal box that represents some of the main elements in your book.
Cereal Box
Include the following on the cereal box:
- Front box: Title and author of the book, and a visual representing something from the story. Also on the front add a purpose for reading such as: “read this book to find out what happens to a poor wife trying desperately to find a way to buy her young husband a Christmas gift.”
- One side of the box labeled Contents or Ingredients: the genre of the book, a description of the setting (time and place) and a description of the plot/background/conflict.
- On the back of the box under the label Special Features include:
- What is the author’s tone? (tone=attitude toward the piece) Include a brief explanation. (2-3 sentences)
- Describe the author’s style. (2-3 sentences)
- Give an example of irony from your book. Remember to use correct MLA documentation.
- Identify a symbol from the book and give an explanation as to what it symbolizes.
- Choose an interesting quote from the story and explain why it is interesting/meaningful.
- On the other skinny side of the box state: the theme of the work and the author’s purpose for writing the book.
- On the top flap include your opinion of the book.
- On the bottom of the box, include your name, period, and due date.
Make your box as decorative/creative as you can!
