Introduction

Selection Criteria

Characteristics:

-Describe your understanding of this type of role and relate your experience to date.

-Articulate your understanding of the philosophy and provision of strengths-based recovery focused services to persons with complex psychiatric disability or functional limitation as a result of serious mental illness.

-Ability to provide evidence based, outcome oriented interventions.

-Demonstrated experience of working effectively with mental health consumers with multiple needs within a mix of clinical, community and/or MHCSS sectors.

-Demonstrated knowledge and ability to collaborate with consumers and other relevant individuals and agencies across the community, acute and sub-acute services to achieve planned outcomes.

-Demonstrated ability to use a client centred approach to engage and support clients with multiple needs to achieve whole of person outcomes.

-Demonstrated ability providing family sensitive practice/carer support.

Key Responsibilities:

-Ability to foster, maintain and enhance partnerships and/or shared care relationships.

-Demonstrated capacity to provide discipline specific services in discipline area.

-Ability to work autonomously, exercising sound professional judgment and seeking advice and consultation when appropriate.

-Extensive knowledge of the community and healthcare sectors.

-A high level of skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs.

-Provide an overall summary of your in-depth experience and any other qualities that you would bring to the role.

Requirements:

Mandatory

  • Formal Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, psychiatric nursing or other allied health disciplines.
  • Please provide evidence.

Drivers Licence

Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.

Desirable Selection Criteria

-Knowledge of the Bayside region and its networks.

-Knowledge of Alfred and/or other clinical services

-Experience in working with, and sensitivity to, a variety of cultures, including the use of interpreters.

-Ability to speak a language relevant to the Bayside community.
