In a Land Far to the North, Whose Name Was Long Forgotten, There Was a City. No One Knew

In a land far to the north, whose name was long forgotten, there was a city. No one knew how the city started, or who created it for what purpose, but they all knew it was a bad city to live in, they called it Slave city. The people who live there are poor, and live in small cottages in poor conditions. Thereis especially one man, who lived in the outer part of the city, in this small shed that’s missing most of its roof. He wasa adventure from other another country seeking gold and luck, he was captured and works as a slave in a mine in the middle of the city. he was onlygetting money enough to keep himself alive, He didn’t have any tools to work with only the ones he found, and he didn’t have a light source so he could see in the deep mine, but he worked all day without breaks with a smile on his face and a dream to get free and for his life to get better. He hated his job more than anything but he didn’t have the money or rights to move away ashe worked as a slave for the jarl of the city.

A normal day of work for him could be,that he was sent down to one of the deepest ends of the mine, were he took one of his only friends with him to help stopping an underground natural gas leak. It is hard for them to get down to the gas leak,because of hard terrain, sharp rocks and total darkness, with only one torch to get in and a torch to get out of the mine,and when they got down to where they could smell the gas they would extinguish the torch so they didn’t set the gas on fire so the mine would explode, and then try to find were the leak was in total blindness. Mostly the gas wasn’t deadly but sometimes it was too dangerous to get down there without equipment then they would get a mask that only could hold some of the gas out. When they find the leak they will use some cheap concrete pasta to blockade the gas from coming out of the leak, and then get away from the gas so they could use the other torch to get out of the mine.

If he didn’t work in one of the mines, he would work as a private slave for the jarl, were he would get all the shitty jobs as cleaning up after a meal,and the and cleaning up the dining hall he dididntget any tools for cleaning up not even a broom. He would also get to clean up his dogs after they have hunted animals in the woods were they would get dirty of all the mud and dirt they would run trough. He was also the food tester of the jarl were he should see if the food was spoiled, bad or poisoned, which wasnot a bad job if it wasn’t for all the people who tried to poisoning the jarl, even then it was the only food he got so he did it with no complains, even if he complained he would get sent down to clean up the jarls bath room that was really nasty because the jarl was a hairy man.

After he had done his work he would make a prayer and then go to bed to sleep he couldt do anymore anyway because of exhaustion.
