Job Title: / Computational social researcher
Background Information/Relationships
Prof. Gilbert (PI) will be the line manager, and the researcher will work with Prof. Moessner (Co-I) and his research group on developing and implementing the sensors and data capturing software.

Key Responsibilities
This document is not designed to be a list of all tasks undertaken but an outline record of any faculty/post specific responsibilities (5 to 8 maximum). This should be read in conjunction with those contained within the accompanying generic Role Profile.
The person appointed will:
  • Implement the sensor suites and the processing software
  • Develop a simple mobile phone app, capable of displaying questions and storing replies
  • With the qualitative social scientist, design and develop the real time data collection (e.g. questions and response codes for the mobile phone app)
  • Assist with the fieldwork, particularly those aspects concerning the digital devices
  • Assist with development of the guidelines about using devices, and contribute to the comparison of collection methods
  • Prepare journal articles to report the work.
  • Attend conferences and other activities to present the work, and the project as a whole
  • Participate in the other activities of the project
  • Participate in the activities of the Centre for Research in Social Simulation.
