Wheel of Life Exercise
- The Wheel of Life is a tool that will give you a visual picture of your life as you are seeing it right now. The Wheel represents your satisfaction with different areas of your life and helpsyou and your coach understand how you are experiencing your life as a whole.
- Rate your satisfaction– Manual Version – Rate your level of satisfaction with each life area from 1 (unsatisfied) to 10 (totally satisfied). For instance, perhaps your relationships with your children are close, warm and respectful. Perhaps you will rate that area as a "9".Mark a “dot” on the line associated with Family and Children on the Wheel. However, you are feeling some dissatisfaction with your spiritual life; your devotions have suffered recently and you are not feeling close to God. Perhaps you will rate that area as a "3" or "4".Mark a “dot” as before. Then connect the dots. (See Example below).Automated Version – see p. 2.

- Open the CMI Wheel of Life 2009.doc on your computer in either MS Word or OpenOffice Writer.
- Read the instructions at the top of the first page and then double click on the larger Wheel. It will open an internal window with two tabs at the bottom - Wheel of Life and Satisfaction Level.

- Enter your level of satisfaction on a 1-10 scale for each category in the “Level” column.
- When you have finished, click on the Wheel of Life tab at the bottom of the window. Your responses should now be plotted onto the Wheel.
- Then, simply click on any area of the Wheel of Life document outside the internal window to return to the standard document view with the results of your self-assessment now indicated in the Wheel.
- Save the document.
