Position Title: Breakfast Attendant

Position Summary:

Welcome guests to the restaurant and provides fast and courteous service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and repeat business.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the guest al all times.
  • Consistently interact with the guests I an effort to provide a superior breakfast experience.
  • Maintain proper levels of food during breakfast hours.
  • Maintain breakfast area in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • During slower times and at end of shift, clean the lobby area. This includes cleaning windows and doors, wipe down end tables and telephone, vacuum rugs, restock the coffee bar and restock the paper and nonperishable items that are kept in the lobby cabinets.
  • Complete food orders
  • Clean and Maintain meeting space. (Our breakfast hostess cleans the meeting room and prepares it for the next meeting. Food, beverage set up, table cloths, etc. I don’t know if this is feasible for all properties)
  • Deep clean kitchen area monthly. This includes wiping out cabinets, tops and backs of refrigeration units, floors, etc.
  • Maintain equipment through self maintenance and work orders.
  • Transfer the daily par level of food from the freezer to the fridge for the next day’s breakfast.
  • Put all food items away when orders arrive including removing items from cart and dating appropriate items, etc.
  • Thoroughly clean the breakfast area at conclusion of breakfast; wipe all tables and counters, vacuum floor, spot clean with carpet machine if spills occur, mop, take out trash, dissemble and clean all coffee and juice machines, clean all dishes used during breakfast etc.
  • Job may require that you open early to accommodate group departure times. Job may require that you are open late on the weekend; therefore your hours will be extended.
  • Be able to lift and carry 50lbs.; push and pull 60 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned, of when the employee is capable of performing.

Requirements:

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the English language
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service
