I'll Follow Him in Faith

2007 Primary Program Outline

Preparation: Assign each class one of the monthly topics. Sometime before the program is to be presented, take a tape recorder into one or two of the classes each week. This is best done right after Singing and Sharing Time and before the teacher starts his/her lesson. We found that our ward library's tape recorders worked best to pick up the children's voices, and it helps to have everyone sit in a circle around the tape recorder. Start recording and ask the children the questions for their topic. You may need to prompt them to find the right answer, but try to get them to answer as much as they can by themselves. Later, type the answers as much in the children's own words as possible and assign these speaking parts to the children who feel most comfortable with them. To perform the program, the theme can either be assigned as a speaking part, or simply displayed as a poster on an easel. The scripture should be given as a speaking part. The teacher's questions can be read either by the class teacher, or by a member of the Primary Presidency. The introduction should be read or paraphrased by a member of the Primary Presidency.

Introduction:

This year in Primary, we have learned about the basic principle of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and how to act upon that faith by living the gospel. To prepare for our presentation today, each class was given a subject and asked questions about it. You will hear the answers the children gave from their hearts and their knowledge of the gospel. We hope you will ponder the things we present as we bear our testimonies to you in word and in song of the importance of faith.
