Registration Process for IIFT-

  1. Register Online:
  2. Click on "Apply Now" and choose the category under which you want to apply.
  3. Fill in the basic details required for registration and submit the form.
  4. Once submitted, Application number will be generated and intimated through an email sent to the registered email id.
  5. Log in to the website using the Application No. mentioned in the email and Password entered by you while registering.
  6. Follow the links to complete the registration process.
  7. Once completed, the intimation regarding successful registration will be sent to the registered email id.
  8. Registration fee:

  • General/OBC candidates

    Demand Draft- Applicant has to get a DD made in favour ofINDIAN INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN TRADE, payable atNEW DELHI, since the candidate is required to fill in the details of the Demand Draft in the online application form.

  3. Once online process is complete,keep a print-out of the filled-in application form for your own record.
  4. Please ensure that you have successfully logged out of the website after completion of the registration process.

Eligibility Criteria to appear for IIFT examination

  • Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline with 50% marks in Graduation (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
  • Candidates appearing in final year of Graduation can also apply subject to submission of proof of requisite qualification by 8thOctober 2018..
  • No age limit.

Additional Eligibility for Foreign National and NRI

  • In order to qualify as an international; candidate for the purpose of applying to IIFT entrance exam, a candidate should have been (expected to be) resident outside India for a period of not less than 18 months as on December 31, 2017 and be outside India during the IIFT examination window. The Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad should produce with application a certificate from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stated that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on December 31, 2017.
  • Foreign nationals need to have a valid passport/travel document from a country other than India. The Foreign nationals who are present in India at the time of IIFT entrance test are required to take the same.
  • The candidate should produce Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score which should be received by the Institute latest by 15thFebruary 2018. GMAT taken before 1stJanuary 2016 is not valid.
  • If the candidate has appeared for any MBA entrance examination for that year in India (2017) such as CAT /XAT /IIFT etc., he /she is not eligible to apply.
  • Transcripts of all academic degrees/diplomas are required to be submitted along with the application. Grades or marks may be self-reported. Originals are required to be produced at the time of admission.

PATTERN OF ADMISSION TEST

  • The admission test is a multiple choice objective type written test (in English).
  • Duration of the test is two hours and will cover English Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.

For General Category.

  • If paying through Credit / Debit Card:The canddiates arenot required to send the print-out of the online application form.
  • If paying through Demand Draft:
  • Print-out of the Online Application Form.
  • Original Demand Draft of requisite amount with Name, Address & Application No. mentioned on the back-side of the demand draft.

For SC / ST / PWD / OBC (NCL) Category.

  1. Print-out of the Online Application Form.
  2. Self attested copy of caste certificate for SC / ST / PH candidates.
  3. Self attested copy ofCentral LevelOBC (non creamy layer) certificate (Sample).
  4. Original Demand Draft of requisite amount with Name, Address & Application No. mentioned on the back-side of the demand draft (if not paying through credit / debit card).

For Foreign National/ NRI Category

  1. Filled in CV Form
  2. Copy of latest GMAT score certificate (GMAT taken before 1st January 2016 is not valid).
  3. Attested copy of all academic mark-sheets/certificate (Class X, XII & Graduation).
  4. Copy of all Passport pages having official entries.
  5. An undertaking that the candidate has not appeared for any MBA entrance examination for that year (2017) such as CAT/XAT/IIFT etc.
  6. Two letters of recommendation. Preferably, one of these should be written by a current supervisor or manager. The second one should be from someone who is in a position to evaluate the applicant’s professional performance as well as his / her managerial and leadership potential. No letter of recommendation should be written by immediate family members, e.g. parents, grandparents, siblings and spouse.
  7. The Indian nationals who are living, working, studying abroad should produce with application a certificate from the Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where the candidate is currently based, stated that the candidate has been resident in that country continuously for a period of not less than 18 months as on December 31, 2017.

FAQs FOR MBA(IB) 2018-20 ENTRANCE EXAM

  1. Can I change/modify the data once I submit the form?
  2. No you cannot change the data. For any modifications in the form kindly send us an e-mail from your registered e-mail id mentioning your Full name (as it is written on the application form), application form no. and the details to be edited. Please note that only few basic information can be modified.
  3. What do you mean by OBC(Non Creamy Layer)?
  4. Candidates will belong to OBC(NCL) category if their cast/community appears in theCentral List of Other Backward Classeswhich is recognized as a Backward Class under:
  5. Government of India, Ministry of Welfare Resolution No. 12011/68/93-BCC (C) dated 10th September, 1993 published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part-I Section-1 dated the 13th September, 1993.
  6. Government of India, Ministry of Welfare Resolution No. 12011/9/94-BCC dated 19.10.1994 published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary Part-1, Section-1, No. 163 dated 20.10.1994.

  1. Is change of Centre permitted?
  2. Candidate can apply for Change of Centre online on or before 3rdNovember 2017 by making a payment of Rs. 1000.00. No requests in this regard will be entertained offline.
  3. When will the admit card be issued?
  4. The Admit Cards can be downloaded from IIFT's website from15thNovember 2017. With a print out of the Admit card, the candidates should reach the venue of the Exam Centre on 3rdDecember 2017 latest by 9.00 a.m. with one of the following documents: (a) Passport (b) Election I-Card (c) Aadhar Card (d) Driving License (e) PAN Card or (f) College I-Card for appearing in the Exam.
  5. Bank name is not appearing on my printed online application form.
  6. Bank name will appear only for those candidates whose mode of payment for the online form is Demand Draft. If the mode of payment is by Credit/Debit card, bank name will not be printed and the space there will remain blank.
