I’m writing to ask you for approval to attend the inauguralPalo Alto Networks Federal IGNITE user conference, on October 23-24, 2017, in Washington, DC. The entire community of attendees will include many security industry experts, Palo Alto Networks product experts, and some of the of the most experienced Palo Alto Networks customers presenting their stories to help you address your toughest security challenges, share best practices, provide hands-on training, highlight new innovations, and lots more.Also featured will be government and industry keynotes and panels, discussing next generation cyber security priorities. Palo Alto Networks, the sponsor of the event, expects attendance of over 800 professionals from the private sector and from federal, state, and local government agencies.

At Federal IGNITE, I’d like to focus on finding solutions or best practices that could benefit these projects underway at our organization:

I understand that the total value of the free attendance of the event paid by Palo Alto Networks is approximately $85 per person, to cover Breakfast, Coffee Breaks, Lunch, Hand’s on Labs, PCNSE Exams/Certifications, Partner Expo Hall, Key Note Speakers, Expert Panels, Materials and Specialized Cyber Security educational tracks.

This conference should deliver incredible value to our agency. I’ll submit a post-conference report that will include an executive summary, major takeaways, tips, and a set of recommendations relating to cyber security challenges, priorities, and technologies. I can also share relevant information with key personnel throughout the agency.
