Subject: IEEE-SA ER SCC18 Meeting Notice

A meeting of all IEEE-SA ER SCC18 members will be held to establish the IEEE Directed Vote balloting position on National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) Report on Comments (ROC). All IEEE meeting are open in that any IEEE member can attend, and it will be held as follows:

8:00 AM – 6 PM January 6 Wednesday (we are checking to see if security will let us end at 6 PM)

8:00 AM – 6 PM January 7 Thursday (we are checking to see if security will let us end at 6 PM)

8:00 AM – Noon January 8 Friday (if we can, we will try to end Thursday night to provide more departure options on Friday)

Approval of ROP February 2009 CMP reports minutes will be first, reports on NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, NFPA 73 and NFPA 780 following and then the CMP reports in numerical sequence. CMP 3 reports should be Wednesday PM. You are welcome to attend the entire session if you chose.

Any handouts are your responsibility and there are 34 SCC18 members.

ASC has a negotiated rate with Doubletree Hotel (located near the Galleria Mall and several eating places) at a corporate rate of $127 per night plus taxes. The host of this meeting at ASC is Donald Dunn (CMP 18). A map of the ASC office location is attached for your information, as is an interior view of the meeting room. Don is making arrangements for breakfast, breaks and lunches through ASC..
There is a Blue Shuttle Service available to and from the HoustonBushIntercontinentalAirport to the hotel, and maybe from HoustonHobbyAirport also. ASC has adequate free parking for visitors for those who are renting cars or driving. Attendees may also wish to review for auto rental rates and for additional lodging information.
Your attendance will be provided to ASC security to expedite entry into the ASC building.
