§ Chair calls telecon to order 13:04 ET
§ Roll call – Chair Peter Ecclesine (Cisco Inc.), Rich Kennedy (ETS-Lundgren), Eldad Perahia (Intel Corporation), Bruce Kraemer (Marvell), Dan Lubar (RelayServices), Scott Blue (SensibleRadio), Charles Cook (Quest), Douglas Chan (Cisco)
§ Chair reviews proposed telecon Agenda and modifications and asks for approval of same.
§ Hearing no objections, the telecon agenda is approved.
§ Chair asks: "Are you aware of, and understand the IEEE patent policy? If not refer the correct section or IEEE Patcom URL: http://standards.ieee.org/board/pat/pat-slideset.ppt ”
§ Chair asks: “..does anyone not understand the IEEE patent policy?" No reply is heard.
§ Chair asks: “Are there matters regarding essential patent claims that the WG chair should be made aware of?” No reply is heard.
§ Chair briefly displayed comment validity rules and obligations. He asked if there were any questions.
§ Chair displayed 08/0443r2 (r1 to be updated on the call).
§ Chair explained how he is managing the spreadsheet. He stated he is going to accept all of the comments.
§ Chair discussed Adrian’sa comments. He stated he would change his “General” comment
§ Any discussion on these two comments? Hearing none, chair displayed D10.0 with the comment resolution included.
§ Eldad expressed concern about confusing the transmit spectral masks between the regulatory and the standard. Dan stated that it is not that clear in the base standard.
§ Chair changed the sentence in I.2.3 to say that these are for information only, and are subject to change. Eldad was satisfied that his concerns were assuaged.
§ Chair showed comments with revised resolutions from the initial ballot and CID 1006 from the first recirculation. He stated that initially they were listed as AIP, with no detail on the resolutions. He stated that they have now been accepted or accepted in principle with comment resolutions provided for CIDs 34, 43, 44, 86 and 124.
§ CID 43 and 44 refer to J.2. This was completely rewritten and the commenter has accepted this resolution.
§ All of the other comments on the “Revised Resolutions” sheet were Accepted.
§ Chair asked there were any other comments or comments on resolutions of comments? Hearing none. The chair recessed while he put the 08/0443r3 on the server. He then downloaded it for the vote on the motion.
§ Dan asked if this will be discussed on the April REVCOM call. Chair said we missed that cutoff date, but it could be up for June approval.
