Notes – Wednesday, March 12th, 2014;

1.  Yongho Seok (representing LG Electronics) is the chair of TGah and was running this session. Chair called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM, ET.

2.  Chair reviewed the proposed agenda of the teleconference, which was circulated through the TGah email reflector. The agenda contained

3.  Call for Secretary

3.1. Alfred volunteered to be the secretary for this session as Li Chia was unavailable temporarily.

4.  Administrative items

4.1. Chair reviewed the administrative items and presented the links for accessing the related documents.

4.2. Chair reviewed the patent policy and meeting guideline.

4.3. Chair presented the Call for Potentially Essential Patents slide. Chair asked: “Are there any patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) and/or the holder of patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) that the participant believes may be essential for the use of that standard?” Chair asked: “Does anybody want to speak up now?” None were heard.

4.4. Chair reviewed other guide lines of the IEEE WG meetings.

5.  Review meeting slots and a tentative agenda (11-14/0218r0 ) for March face to face meeting

5.1. Chair went through the tentative agenda.

5.1.1. Chair noted that that we have 2 more meeting slots compared to the January meeting.

5.1.2. Chair reminded members to prepare comment resolution documents so that we can meet the deadline.

6.  Li Chia is able to take minutes and Alfred handed over secretarial duties to Li Chia.

7.  Review the current status of LB200 comment resolution

7.1. Chair noted that the status of MAC CIDs outstanding have been sent by email to the reflector.

7.2. Chair reminded members to submit initial drafts of comment resolution documents before the March meeting; Amin and Matthew have many CIDs outstanding, so Chair will check with them.

8.  Submissions to address comments received on Draft 1.0

8.1. Chair asked if there are other submissions to be added.

8.1.1. Ron: The schedule is very tight. Chair: In January we resolved 600 comments, there are 900 remaining, and we expect 700-800 can be resolved in the March F2F meeting, while those remaining can be resolved before the next F2F meeting in May. After we receive the submissions, we can then monitor the progress, believe we don't need urgent meeting to discuss progress.

8.2. 11-14/0274r0, lb200-clause-8.3.3-comment-resolution (Yongho Seok (LGE))

8.2.1. This submission proposes comment resolutions of the clause 8.3.3 from TGah Draft 1.0, addressing CIDs 1417, 1681, 1682, 1683, 1684, 1685, 2041, 2115, 2122, 2130, 2286, 2287, 2385, 2473, 2824, 2842, 2980, 2981, 2982.

8.2.2. Changes are:

8.2.2.1.  Inserted rows in Table 8-24 in Clause 8.3.3.2,

8.2.2.2.  Inserted rows in Table 8-26 in Clause 8.3.3.5,

8.2.2.3.  Changed the row of Order 3, 13, and 19 in Table 8-27 Association Response frame body,

8.2.2.4.  Inserted rows in Table 8-27 in Clause 8.3.3.6,

8.2.2.5.  Inserted rows in Table 8-28 in Clause 8.3.3.7,

8.2.2.6.  Changed the rows of Order 3, 15, and 21 in Table 8-29 Reassociation Response frame body,

8.2.2.7.  Inserted rows in Table 8-29 in Clause 8.3.3.8,

8.2.2.8.  Inserted rows in Table 8-30 in Clause 8.3.3.9,

8.2.2.9.  Inserted rows in Change Table 8-31 in Clause 8.3.3.10,

8.2.2.10.  For CID 1417, to replace “dot11S1GOptionImpemented” with “dot11S1GOptionImplemented” throughout the TGah draft 1.2,

8.2.2.11.  For CID 1682, to replace “Sector Training” with “sector training” throughout the TGah draft 1.2, especially in 8.4.2.170f and 8.47.

8.2.3. For CIDs 2385 and 2473, Yongho changed resolution to “revised”.

8.2.4. Discussions.

8.2.4.1.  Alfred asked a clarification question on the Association Request frame. Yongho clarifies, AID request element is optional for STA. Alfred: We need consistency in the text, information in AID response element has to be consistent with that in the S1G capability element. Yongho: We can discuss offline.

8.2.4.2.  Alfred: For 8.3.3.9 Probe request format, under order 20, should be changed to "dot11ShortProbeResponseOption Implemented is true". Yongho makes the change.

8.2.4.3.  There were no other questions or comments.

8.2.4.4.  There were no objections to r1.

8.3. 11-14/0231r2, lb200-clause-10-14-and-10-45-comment-resolution (Yongho Seok (LGE))

8.3.1. This submission proposes comment resolutions of the clause 10.14 and 10.45 from TGah Draft 1.0., addressing CIDs: 1289, 1987, 1290, 1291, 2775, 1548.

8.3.2. This submission was presented earlier to address a comment from Amin regarding CID 1548, Cl. 10.45.

8.3.3. Cl. 10.45 has been modified.

8.3.4. Discussions.

8.3.4.1.  Mitsuru: We need to change “A STA for which dot11UnsolicitedDynamicAIDActivated is true shall set the Dynamic AID field of the S1G Capabilities Info field in the S1G Capabilities element to 1” to “A STA for which dot11UnsolicitedDynamicAIDActivated is true shall set the Unsolicited Dynamic AID field of the S1G Capabilities Info field in the S1G Capabilities element to 1”. Yongho makes the change.

8.3.5. There were no objections.

8.4. 11-14/0279r0, LB200-MAC-Resolution-Miscellaneous_Part_1 (Alfred Asterjadhi (Qualcomm))

8.4.1. This submission proposes resolutions for comments that impact multiple clauses of TGah Draft 1.2 with the CIDs 1175, 1073, 1676, 1715, 1185, 1455.

8.4.2. Changes:

8.4.2.1.  To replace “Duration Indication” with “Idle Indication” throughout the 802.11ah Draft to become D2.0.

8.4.2.2.  To replace “NDP Modified ACK” with “NDP PS-Poll-Ack” and “NDP (Modified) ACK” with NDP (PS-Poll-)Ack” throughout the 802.11ah Draft to become D2.0.

8.4.3. To add the following new definition in subclause 3.3 (Abbreviations and acronyms): “ NDP (PS-Poll-)Ack, NDP Ack or NDP PS-Poll-Ack”.

8.4.4. Alfred noted that for the last CID, there is no need to have any resolution now as there was a document presented earlier in the January meeting addressing this comment.

8.4.5. There were no objections.

8.5. 11-14/0280r0, LB200-MAC-Resolution-Clause-9_20_2.1-3 (Alfred Asterjadhi (Qualcomm))

8.5.1. This submission proposes resolutions for comments in clause 9.20.2.1-3 of TGah Draft 1.0 with the CIDs 1962, 1972, 1205, 2458, 2025, 1208.

8.5.2. CID 2025 was previously dealt with in doc 11-14-0075r1 which has been motioned during the IEEE F2F January meeting but this CID was missing in the header of the motioned document. B

8.5.3. Changes: -

8.5.3.1.  To add the necessary exceptions throughout the EDCA subclauses similar to 802.11ac D5.0 for VHT STAs.

8.5.3.2.  In 9.20.2.3, Obtaining an EDCA TXOP, to change the 1st inserted paragraph in 9.19.2.3 of 802.11ac D5.0.

8.5.4. Discussions:

8.5.4.1.  Yongho asked a question on the last para., part (b) . Alfred: For S1G (a) and (b) are the same. Yongho: So in EDCA, S1G STA sets EIFS = DIFS? Alfred: Yes. Yongho: So do we need to add rule? Alfred notes that this falls within (b), adds text "frame reception that has resulted in" 2nd last line of document, will upload as r1.

8.5.5. There were no objections to r1.

8.6. 11-14/0283r0, LB200-MAC-Resolution-Clause-9_22 (Alfred Asterjadhi (Qualcomm))

8.6.1. This submission proposes resolutions for comments in clause 9.22 of TGah Draft 1.0 with the CIDs 1215, 1216, 1502, 2275, 1217, 1503, 1504, 1218, 1219, 1220, 1221, 1222, 1223, 1505, 1224, 1506.

8.6.2. Changes in:

8.6.2.1.  8.6.5.3 ADDBA Response frame format

8.6.2.2.  9.22 Block Acknowledgment (Block Ack)

8.6.5. Yongho: - On p11, 2nd para. from bottom, why is LONG_RESPONSE removed? Alfred: - OK, will enumerate LONG_RESPONSE. Alfred makes changes

8.6.6. Changes:

8.6.6.1.  Row added in Table 8-42 Status codes, also status code 106 instead of 105.

8.6.7. Document to change to r1. There were no further questions.

8.7.1. This submission proposes resolution for comments in clause 8.3.5.1.1 of TGah Draft 1.2 with the CIDs 1076, 1373, 1634, 1688, 1689, 1690, 1691, 1692, 1693, 1694, 1695, 1696, 1697, 1698, 1699, 1700, 2290, 2291, 2493, 2496, 2566, 2721, 2722, 2882.

8.7.2. Changes addressing CIDs 2721, 2722, 1373, 1688, 1689, 1690, 1691, 1692, 1693, 1694, 1695, 1696, 1697, 1698, 1699, 2493, 2566, and 2882:

8.7.2.1.  To replace the existing text in subclause 8.3.5.1.1,

8.7.2.2.  8.3.5.1.1 NDP CTS, in Table 8-38b – NDP MAC frame body of NDP CTS (1 MHz).

8.7.2.3.  To modify the existing text in subclause 9.3.2.6 in Page 176 / Line 45

8.7.2.4.  To modify the existing text in subclause 9.3.2.6 in Page 177 / Line 1,

8.7.3. Discussions.

8.7.3.1.  Yongho: In the last para. of document, is "should disregard" in the 1st sentence correct? Chittabrata: Let’s change "should" to "shall". There were inaudible comments by Alfred. Yongho: As time has run out and we can't really hear Alfred how about offline discussion? Alfred: Prefer "should" as its STA's choice. Chittabrata: I’m fine with "should". Alfred: Can point to document which is already accepted. Yongho: We can keep "should", if need be we can have offline discussion. Chittabrata: That is fine, at this point we have no changes. Yongho: Any other comment, please send email to Chittabrata. Since we are out of time, are there other discussions? Chittabrata: Do we motion on this? Yongho: Motions will be run next week.

9.  Chair reminded everyone that the first session next week is the ad-hoc on Monday AM1.

10.  Chair noted that we are out of time.

10.1. As there were no other topics to discuss and no objections to adjourning, the call was adjourned at 9.10 pm.
