STANDING STALLION AT STUD CONTRACT

Subject to the following terms & conditions, I the Undersigned (hereafter “STALLION OWNER”),

With North Fork Stallion Station, located at Countryside Veterinary Clinic, during the ______breeding season.

1.  Upon arrival at Countryside Veterinary Clinic, STALLION OWNER will provide Countryside Veterinary Clinic with above named stallion’s registration paperwork, a health history form, and any and all pertinent information and documentation for breeding purposes.

2.  The STALLION OWNER agrees to have the stallion breed mares by one (1), or more of the following methods.

____ Live Cover Breeding

____ Cooled Shipped Semen

____ Fresh AI Semen

____ Frozen Semen

3.  The STALLION OWNER agrees to pay for standing the stallion with North Folk Stallion Station. If the stallion brings in twelve (12) or more mares, Countryside Veterinary Clinic will receive 50% of the revenue from the stallion breeding fee and will be responsible for all other costs associated with boarding the animal on the Countryside Veterinary Clinic property. If the stallion brings in less than twelve (12) mares, the owner will be responsible for feed and board of the stallion and Countryside Veterinary Clinic will receive 50% of the stallion breeding fees. The fees below are for the keeping and ordinary care of the mare/foal/or stallion. Should the animal(s) require specific feed, supplements, boarding needs, etc. the STALLION OWNER will be responsible for the costs associated with this.

4.  The STALLION OWNER agrees that once the stallion is located at Countryside Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Richard Geary and his employees become the sole agent of the stallion. The stallion will only be advertised through Countryside Veterinary Clinic and its means of distribution. Any scheduling of showings to potential breeders and scheduling’s of breeding’s must be done through Countryside Veterinary Clinic and no other outside parties.

5.  Countryside Veterinary Clinic will provide a list of all mares bred to the stallion at the end of its time with North Fork Stallion Station, in order for the stallion owner to complete the stallion report. The list will include registered name, registration number, owner, and dates exposed.

6.  I, the STALLION OWNER agree to entrust the care of my mare/foal/stallion to be under the care of Dr. Richard Geary & staff for breeding purposes and agree to assume all risk of injury, sickness, disease, theft, or death to said mare/foal/stallion while under the care of Countryside Veterinary Clinic. This shall include, but is not limited to, any loss, injury, or damages to property by said mare/foal/stallion while on the premises, except where caused by the negligence of Dr. Richard Geary, contractors, or employees.

7.  Shipping costs will be identified at the time of shipping (due to readily changing prices). The STALLION OWNER agrees to pay all shipping costs as a result of shipping/receiving cooled or frozen semen for the purpose of breeding. STALLION OWNER further understands that shipping charges will vary depending on destination, deliver days, and carrier used. STALLION OWNER will not hold Countryside Veterinary Clinic staff responsible for any delays or failures in semen delivery outside of their immediate control.

8.  STALLION OWNER agrees to be invoiced directly by Countryside Veterinary Clinic and agrees to pay all fees associated with breeding of mare and feed and board within 30 days after they become due and payable as invoiced, and shall be billed and paid prior to the mare/foal/stallion is picked up. In the event of non payment, Countryside Veterinary Clinic may assert and exercise a Right of Lien for any amount due for the feed and board of the mare/foal/stallion, for any and all fees associated with the breeding, and STALLION OWNER further agrees Countryside Veterinary Clinic shall have the right, without process of law, to attach a lien to said mare/foal/stallion after two months of non payment or partial payment and Countryside Veterinary Clinic can then sell mare/foal/stallion to recover its loss.

9.  This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. Any modification or additions must be in writing and signed by all parties to this Agreement. No oral modifications will be considered part of this agreement unless reduced to writing and signed by all parties.

I, the undersigned, do hereby certify that I am the STALLION OWNER named herin, or a duly authorized agent or lessee thereof, and have the authority to enter into, and be bound by, this contract, as witnessed by my signature. Further I, certify that I have read and understand the terms of this contract and the fees and charges associated.
