IST-2001-37278 ROADCON

ROADCON Project results Workshop

7th July 2003

BRUSSELS – European Commission premises

The roadmapping project ROADCON is an Accompanying Measure - Action Line IST 2002 II.1.2: Strategic roadmaps for applied research - funded by the European Commission under the IST programme (FP5). Its aim is to develop a roadmap for the future research and development of ICT for the construction industry, in the short, medium and long terms. It is promoting model-based, knowledge-driven ICT in the construction sector as the main enabler for the future achievement of important societal, environmental, industrial, and business priorities. The underpinning idea in future use of ICT is computer-interpretable object-oriented information that will enable enhanced automation, integration and communication in Construction. For more information on the project, please refer to:

The ROADCON project is organising a 1-day open workshop on July 7, 2003 in Brussels. An overview of the ROADCON project will be given, with presentations of the project results and the proposed final Roadmap, highlighting the various research issues to be investigated in the future R&D dedicated to Construction ICT. Besides presentations, time will be given to all the attendees for intensive discussion about future collaboration too, e.g. in FP6.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but there is a limited number of places, consequently they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The full agenda of this open day is provided below. For more information, please contact your ROADCON National Contact point (see at , and click on “Contacts”).
