IAU-WMA 100km Masters Entry Process
Masters Athletes
An agreement has been signed with the IAU and the WMA for a yearly 100km race. The race will be organized and run together with the IAU World Cup. Any male or female athlete of master’s age registered with their national athletic federation (IAAF) or national master’s federation can compete from age 40 in five year age groups. The age of the athlete on the day of the race sets the age group of the athlete. The race is for individuals only. No team awards. IAU rules will be followed for the conducting of the race. Proof of age must be supplied to the federation upon package pick-up. Entries will be validated through the WMA executive. Athletes must wear a national uniform (top) to show the country of registration.
Only athletes entered in the IAU and the WMA event will be eligible for drug testing.
Athlete’s names will appear on the List of Entries for the Masters race after their entry form has been processed and approved.
Please consult with the LOC for transportation, accommodations and all other aspects of the event which are listed on the web site. All masters’ athletes are required to pay their own expenses.
Awards
The first place finisher in all male and female master age groups from age 40 will be presented with a gold medal. Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented to finishing athletes where there are five or more athletes in that age group entered.
