IASC Protection Policy Roll Outplan (DRAFT 14 December)

IASC Protection Policy Roll OutPlan (DRAFT 14 December)

Notes:

This plan is drafted pursuant to the IASC Working Group decision against the formation of a dedicated Task Team, and rather using the Global Protection Cluster as the focal point in liaison with other key stakeholders to roll out the IASC Protection Policy, andprovide periodic reports on dissemination and implementation to the IASC Working Group (IASC 91st Meeting, 25-26 October 2016, Summary Record). The original plan submitted by the hybrid GPC/IASC Task Team is being used as the basis.

In this revised plan, the focus is not on rolling out the Policy per seto the field but on using the adoption of the Policy by the IASC as a tool to promote the centrality of protection in humanitarian action (i.e. the purpose behind the creation of the Policy).
