I understand that you may be interested in the Heany Park Scout Group for your child/children.

Your child/children will be placed on the waiting list for the Group at this time, one of our Leaders or assistants may be in contact soon. You may avoid thewaiting list by volunteering to become involved. This will allow your child entry straight into the Group aswell as providing reduced fees after the first full year of adult leadership. Otherwise, we will contact you assoon as a place becomes available. The following information is simply what we send to new families. Youare not required to send any money until your child begins with the Group.

The Heany Park Scout Group prides itself on being a family Scouting Group. Many parents are involved inrunning activities with the Scouts, Cubs and Joeys under the guidance of our Section Leaders who have allbeen trained in running Scouting activities. Venturers, Scouts, Cubs and Joeys are run during the schoolterms. The leaders and times are:

?Rovers (18-26 years)

?Venturers (approx 15-17yrs) –Rick -held on Friday Night at 7.30 – 10.30pm.

?Scouts (approx. 11-14 yrs) - Kylie - held on Monday Night at 6.30 – 8.30pm.

?Cub Scouts (approx 8-10 yrs) - Deb - held on Thursday Night from 7:00 - 8:30pm.

?Joeys (approx. 5-7 yrs) – Luke - held on Thursday from 5:45 - 6:45pm.

Information on the fees that will assist you in your decision (for the first child for July 2016 to June 30 2017 is: Total $ 424). Please note that your child will be uninsured with the Group and the Scouting Association ofAustralia until you have paid the fee to cover registration, insurance and joining fees. Until these are paid,your child will not be permitted to join any special activities such as camps or be given any badges.

Thefees should be paid as soon as possible – preferably at week 3 and are non-refundable.

Please note that if you choose to pay by direct deposit on the internet or at the bank you should include thefollowing Family ID #Surname# (place this in the reference cell on the internet, or ask the teller to type itin with the payment – this identifies the family who have made the payment on our bank statement).

You should complete attached forms as soon as possible and give them to the Leader of your child’ssection. This ensures that we have the correct information to register your child/children with Scouting Australia and that we can contact you in the event of an emergency. The formsshould be returned as soon as possible – even if you are unsure of whether or not you will be joining uppermanently.

ASSISTANCE TO THE HEANY PARK SCOUT GROUP:

Scouting is an organisation run by volunteers who receive no payment for their efforts. Scouting is

also an organisation that caters for all the family. As such, the Heany Park Scout Group encourages

each family to support the Group in some way. Not only does this share the work required to manage

such a large Scout Group but also it’s a great opportunity for adults to make new friends, undertake

new activities and share the Scouting experience with their children.

There are many ways that you can help out. Please tick (?) areas you may be able to assist:
