I’m Done Typing my Book and Music/Movie Reviews!
What Do I Do Now?
Our magazine will be great when it’s filled with everyone’s reviews. But it will be really great when it’s full of other material too, to reflect our interests and personalities as a class. Prepare one or more of the following to add to the magazine. Each published contribution will be worth 15 points of extra credit, added to your lowest grade of the marking period!
Other reviews: more book, music, or movies or something different, like restaurants, cars, video games, cafeteria meals, shoes … use your imagination!
Poems
Fictional stories (no longer than one page, please)
Polls
Artwork (black and white, no larger than 8 ½ x 11 inches)
Jokes (at least five jokes to earn extra credit – must be appropriate for school)
Sports reports (including skateboarding)
Advice columns (it’s ok to make up the letters!))
Favorite stories from class this year
Anything else you think would make a good addition to the magazine
You can also try your hand at designing the cover of our magazine. The cover must be in black and white on 8 ½ x 11 inch paper. It must include the title (Young Gunners or BET: Better Entertainment Too), the words “Second (or Fourth) Period Language Arts,” and the date (2003-2004 or March 2004). We will vote as a class for the best cover!
